I'm kinda bummed. I've lost a big chunk of my passion for the GPs for a couple of reasons.

MX Vice during the Lewis reign was basically the only proper outlet that attended the races and created proper content for the series. Sure Lewis have continued with the Vital GP podcasts with Wheeler and they're great but it's just not the same as being at the races. Lewis made MX Vice, unfortunately it started dying the second he moved to USA.

And i see no other media/content creators stepping up and taking that role?

But either way, still going to tune in to rd1. Patagonia is a fantastic track, and this might be the last race there in a while so lets enjoy it.

MX vice lost me last year when one of their writers said 97-98 John Dowd wasn’t elite when I correctly pointed out to them how good he was they argued to save their article. Haven’t read any of their uninformed dribble since.

Not very professionnal attitude, I would say...

I almost booked a flight to Argentina last week, but was too indecisive. I really wish that I pulled the pin. I'm so excited!

I didn't read the article so I don't know the context  , if the article disparaged him etc.  Those were for sure Dowds best years winning some big races and a regional sx title , being picked for the MXoN  . But he's never won a National title . What's the criteria for elite status . Just playing devils advocate here . I was always a big Dowd fan BTW.  We're only a year apart in age and have the same initials .... the similarities end there lol .

I believe the article was about Herlings and RCs win totals and saying that Herlings and RC might not have had the biggest competition in there 125/250 careers which is laughable to begin with considering length of time in class. But overlooking that they brought up Dowd as one of their examples of RCs lack of competition. Then I pointed out how successful Dowd was in 1997-98 and they doubled down on calling one of the top 5 riders in the world in that span not Elite. After that it’s like what is the point of reading something from MXvice?

I’m pulling for prado. He gained me as a fan this year. Pure class act.

Geerts is going to surprise a lot of people. He looked good in Lierop on the weekend.

I just hope he keeps it on two wheels

was it a mistake that Van De moosdjik is listed in the mxgp class?

Im pretty excited for this series. I bought every race last year and it was the first year i REALLY paid attention to it. Its no wonder those dudes do well in America. They ride some knarly tracks at pace.

Im trying to do a fantasy series like Vital does for SX with my friends and i have no clue how to price the first round lol. Obviously the top 10 is easy but after that, this dumb American is lost Blush

Can Vital support another series??? Silly

I used to be indecisive, but nowadays I'm not so sure.

Nope, not a mistake! He aged out of MX2 so he had to move up.
