Listening to Bubbas podcast is always enlightening. Homeboy can talk some Moto and see stuff that amazes me. Anyway ive been around bikes and riders for a long time. Ive seen family and friends ride and stop riding due to everything life throws at us. There is a difference in the way someone talks and looks when they are riding, aren't riding, don't miss it as well as when someone IS riding. James didn't looks or sound like someone who was riding at all or much over the last more than a few years.

It's just a feeling that I got from the look and the words. He has gone from speaking of how they ride and how we rode and now he's saying how I did this and how I do that. Now I'm not saying he's riding or not but James on this most recent podcast looks a lot more like riding training JS7 than the non riding not interested in the pain Bubba ive been seeing. Both rock.

Would it be out of the question for JS 7 show up at Lorettas in the Vet class to keep Brownie and JLaw honest.

Poll

Is JS7 riding again?

Good points

I think James is just chillin and enjoying retirement. Not sure if he’s riding or not, wouldn’t surprise me if he made a few laps daily. 😎

Idk what it is but I can’t for the life of me imagine JS7 out riding at a leisurely pace

Not saying he can’t do it I just can’t picture it in my mind

Problem is fit james could un retire and still win some pro races - so it would be super unfair for any other amateur racing him.

Who knows, all we can do is speculate. Definitely something I'd love to see. If RB straight rhythm ever returns that would be his jam. I recall Js mentioning a few years back that it's something he would consider doing.

His breakdown of how guys hit sections and what the bikes are doing doesn't even compute in my novice brain. He was talking about Forkner wheeling over the roller into that section.. But how you really needed to wheelie high to slap your front wheel down hard to blah, blah, blah. You might as well be speaking Chinese James. Love the podcast

Since he retired, I've been curious if he could do that. Like, if RC invited him on his annual adventure bike ride, is James wired to just have fun on fire roads, or would he have to be balls to the wall looking for jump combos the entire time?

Was interesting to hear RC on pulp speaking about how uncomfortable he is going fast on a dirt bike these days. It’s cool when these guys let their guard down and speak open and honestly.

That would be sick. I was born when all three were going at it and I find it so cool watching videos of all the old races. It makes me feel that I should have been born earlier to witness all the amazing news. But I was a miracle as it is(i won’t get into that but my dads ring fit all the way up my arm when i was born)

Haha! That would be cool, but those 3 are so competitive. I don't see how that could possibly work. Smile

The thought of RC and Stew riding anything without it becoming competitive just tickles me, if it happens I hope they film it.

I do think they've both gotten to that stage where they can just have fun and both know their legacy as a true great is secure, so I'm sure they could, but it's always funny thinking how at one time they'd have damn near died to beat the other guy.

Didn't James say his kids have been riding more recently so he's been spending more time with them around the bikes? Maybe that's what OP is seeing. It'd be hard to watch your kids riding around your track without at least hopping on a pitbike or something yourself.

Take this with a grain of salt but he said on his podcast in 2022 "if my kid goes to Loretta Lynn's one day you'll see me in the 40+ class or whatever."

If he ever goes to Loretta's as a Vet you won't be able to park within 5 miles of the place the days he rides!

He always mentions he has his CRF450. I am sure he takes it out every now and again. I would think he is waiting to feel extremely comfortable before posting any videos
