Went to Freewheeling Power sports in Douglasville (Atlanta area) last week and they had one on show listed at 9,900. I dont think they’re allowed to sell it just yet though.

That little textured bit of the seat is a cool little touch... Assuming that's what it is, where the row of stitching carries on from the shape of the rad shroud / tank line.

I know most will just sling a full bore gripper cover on, but it's cool they thought about it at least.

Not up to date on new bike pricing in the US, is that the same as the Japanese 250F bikes?

I talked a lot of shit on their marketing approach with the slow reveal - but damn these bikes look good! The frame and KYB suspension are really intriguing to me. Can't wait to swing my leg over one, especially when the 450 rolls out.

I'm not surprised by their success thus far. They've got former HRC guru Dave Arnold (lead chasis engineer) among others on the payroll

I just did a quick google and looked at MSRPs.

Suzuki - $7,900

Honda - $8,300

Kawasaki - $8,900

Yamaha - $8,900

KTM - $11,349

Success at what?  They aren’t selling them yet.
They had one rider finish the main event in Detroit on the lead lap, so I guess there’s that.

I was speaking of the Triumph race team. Swoll 6th in the main after his incident and Ferry getting the holeshot and taking the LCQ was impressive to me "thus far". My glass is half-full...

$500 rebate on the Kaw that brings it to $8,399.

And of course, Suzuki has that nearly perpetual $1000 rebate on rmz250

I just pulled the listed MSRP’s. Doesn’t make sense to apply current deals or rebates to their current MSRP since we’re not doing that to the sticker price on the Triumph. Who knows what kind of deals/rebates they will have once they’re being sold.

Just to clarify, 2024 KTM 250 SX-F MSRP is $10,199

The price you listed is for the Factory Edition, I believe.

It's funny my dealer had ZERO information about when they would be available.    This coming from last Friday night  "British Invasion" unveiling new bikes  show put on by Triumph here in San Diego that I attended.....I posted a thread about it.

Was cool to see it in person, and yeah, they did a hell of a job with it.     As mentioned before though....the black plastic was dull and scratchy....not a fan of the black.

Here are the pics I grabbed of the bike.

51 hp stock. Ferry hole shotted from the outside. The factory bike is even powerful. So how much money to you spend on the other brands to match the power of a stock Triump? Probably will get 3x on the chain and sprockets over the Asian bikes.

No doubt, the Triumph is the real deal.  I didn’t care for how it was rolled out, but that’s in the past and now we get the see the fruits of their labor.

It looks good and performs excellent.  Sounds better than the rest too.  I’d say their effort so far has been bloody brilliant!!

So Matty B will be testing one in March and sounds like he might be on one soon.

When do the magazines get test bikes?

Getting a little out of hand with all the buttons on the clutch side, good lord. Blink

Good spotting. That keyboard does look a bit large considering that I crashed in a 1st turn back in the 80s and had just about everything ripped / roosted off one side of my bars and it ended my day right there. And back then, there wasn't much to rip off.

Generally map / traction buttons are just switched to ground to activate a relevant ECU strategy. So say it all got ripped off, it'd likely just default to map 1 and no traction or launch active, so probably no worries.

As for the kill, that's the same story for all bikes I guess.

I agree controls are getting a little hectic though, I always loved the simplicity of motocross bikes.

The Triumph looks mint either way though.

Yeah, their first ever races only got them a top 6 finish in SX after a crash in the first turn, holeshots and a podium at a Spanish national race, and all bikes performing flawlessly and instantly being on the pace of all the established brands despite being all-new. Arguably the best ever race debut of any mx brand.

You're right. Absolutely nothing to crow about..

Agreed.  For a new manufacturer to come out and put both bikes in the main right out of the gate is damn impressive.  SX is no joke as proven by Ducati hiring an existing Team here to run their program.

Look at Beta......and their bike existed before this season.

Call me a skeptic, but the stock horsepower king in the 250 class currently is the KTM at 45hp (per MXA, who I’m confident ran it on a dyno to verify), so until I see it on paper, I’m not buying Cletus’s 51 hp number.  If true, this is no doubt the new king of the 250 class, but I’m having a hard time believing that Triumph found a way to reliably generate 13% more horsepower from the same 250ccs everyone else has to work with.
Yes, Ferry did holeshot an LCQ (considering he was the only factory rider on the only factory bike in the race, he better holeshot).  I admit it is a beautiful bike, but I’ll reserve my excitement until I see those horsepower claims verified on a dyno.  If true, this bike should win damn near every race, especially when modified as a factory race bike.

I like the team they've assembled ( "Triumph Racing team will be led by the ultra-experienced Bobby Hewitt and Stephen Westfall, along with industry greats Dave Arnold and Dudley Crammond" ).

Considering Swoll is on a new bike and Ferry is a rookie, Triumph has to be pleased for sure. I'm interested to see what a more experienced Joey Savatgy can do outdoors.

With KTM being the horsepower "king", how many 250 championships as that brought them in the last 5 years?
