At least Ricky doesn’t scream full volume with his voice banging the rev limiter, that drives me way more nuts. I think he’s better when James is in the booth with him. Switching cameras in the middle of a battle bothers me way more than any announcer. And there’s (IMO) no reason to ever show anyone riding solo for more than a 1/4 lap, no matter who it is. Why watch Kenny or Jett or anyone else ride all by himself while there’s guys on the same second or a guy working his way through the pack. AP went from 2nd to 17th ? Then back to 10th I think, might’ve been more entertaining to see some of those passes. Sorry to stray off topic. I’ll take RC all day over SCREAMING the whole race
RC and Diffey are the worst combo. Their commentary adds nothing to the broadcast and sometimes takes away from it.
I like Stewart’s insight and think he’s entertaining.

I’ll say it. RC on his worst night is still easier to listen to than James’ mastication of the English language. My father was an English teacher and would gladly correct my grammar if I mis spoke. I think we should also hold others, including RC, to an acceptable level of professionalism, lest we continue to devolve into communication based on grunts and clicks.
Defense of James’ sprinkling unidentifiable words and phrases as a highly compensated announcer on a national broadcast is yet another example of our society lowering its acceptable standards. I realize that statement will trigger most here that will be quick to defend James by yelling racism, so be it. I know that isn’t the case, and more it’s just an easy go to talking point for those who cannot intelligently debate their position.
Clowns are also entertaining and unfortunately, Weege has been purchased by the industry.

IMO, Jason has lost journalism credibility by becoming a corporate mouthpiece for SMX. He seems to be promoting the Lawrence brothers at every opportunity and his questions / comments have become as soft as cotton candy. It’s almost like having DC in the booth.

I think they should just have Carmichael and JT$ swapped. Would be 3000% better. JT is calm, relaxed and easy to listen to. Carmichael sounds like he is hyping everything up but that is what Diffy does. The colour commentator isn't meant to call the race, the professional does. The GOAT rider is far from the best commentator. IMO Rick Johnson (I think) was the best ex-pro. Emig was good too, despite being a bit monotone and repetitive.
They should try Kevin Windham, Langston, or Trey Canard.

I am beginning to believe RC's whole thing is an act to appeal to the masses. That whole Terry Bradshaw, John Madden style of announcing to give the broadcast a more "homey" feel. Nobody can possibly be that big of a moron in real life, especially concerning something they have been doing since birth. As far as Weege is concerned, his passive aggressive insulting of the regular fans of the sport is demeaning and shows him in a bad light. Every time there is a trend or complaint amongst the majority of the fans Weege has to explain it away as the fans are idiots.

Unless you're very young or living in a cave you know there's been some great announcers over the years that the majority of people liked as well as some that people didn't like. The small majority that you're referring to will always exist
No kidding . I love when people start throwing names around , get this guy , get that guy when they may not even be interested in doing it full time . Glover in particular has had a pretty good gig with Dunlop for many years now . Why would he want to give that up for the thankless job of color commentating and the inane criticism from the peanut gallery that goes with it .
