Stewart definitely isn't the most eloquent speaker in the world, and I'm pretty picky when it comes to the quality of live commentary, so I'd rather listen to Stew in podcast form than calling a race. However, he is better than Ricky because he actually gives real insight and makes bold statements/predictions based on his own racing experience. Often times, he is right. That's how a former champion should utilize the role of color commentator. Ricky is the GOAT but you wouldn't guess he ever raced professionally if you just heard his commentary without knowing who he was.
