One man's hell is another man's heaven. That was a great trail, smooth and wide. The step was a little precarious. Little room for error. We have trails like that with less ground and no where near as flat. All jagged rock, the falls wont kill you as quick as that trail, so you get to enjoy the pain as you fall 1000 feet over jagged rock.

I think you, myself, knobby need to go on a trail ride sometime. I thought that trail looked awesome. I thought the guys were actually going a little slow.

As a good friend of mine says, it's not a good trail ride unless somebody bleeds that day.

This is an fun little trail out the back door. As you go higher it gets a bit more technical.

Did you watch it all the way through? The video is 8 minutes long and you posted four minutes into it. True as I said, its not as steep, but its not as wide or flat. The trail Gman posted is cool, and I like it. You wanted to see some proof and this is a sample, this isnt the only trail here. I dont have any footage of the rides up on top.

Your turn to post your precarious trail.

I don't have video to post, I never beat my chest saying the trail gman posted was smooth and wide. It's a rock wall on the left and a fucking drop off on the right. Zero room for error. Clip your bars on the wall and your toast.

I wasn't gonna sit through 8 minutes I clicked through different segments of your video and nothing even came close to what those guys were riding.

That trail looks like it's on the White Mountains side of the valley. Are those Bristlecone pines that you get to near the end of the video? Never seen them before, but I heard that they are the oldest living things on the planet.

That trail looks awesome, thanks for sharing.

I've done my share of mtb thru 'fatal exposure' sections. Not a big fan of it though. I only did it because I could drop my seat far enough to where it would be really tough to dork out but still ... shit happens. Trails are not built of concrete and they can give way ... landslides, etc. happen all the time.

I now walk those sections since it seems stupid to roll the dice. If you're alone there's no one to bail you out ... and if you're not alone you never know if one of the riders you're with will do something stupid.

Not sure how much of that trail qualifies as fatal but I would def want the bike to have narrow bars and a low seat position.

Here's a fairly easy section of trail and this guy almost bashed his brains out as he cartwheeled down the slope.

If there's any serious risk, I would never challenge anyone to do something they wouldn't do on their own. And this is the classic guy that didn't really want to do the section but allows his bud to puss him into it.

He came out of it OK with just a lot of bleeding. If that had been a really gnar or fatal section ....

The lens in Gmans video post makes it look like there's less room than there actually is. use that same lens on Tiki's video and you would have the same effect.

There are trails like this near my parent's place in Nor Cal. Not nearly as fun as riding a motocross track (IMO), but definitely makes for a great adventure among friends and provides lots of sight-seeing.

Here let me translate that part when they stopped to talk for you;

Crazy dude 1; "So what do you think?"

Crazy dude 2; "Good fun except I cannot sit down properly with these gigantic balls."

Crazy dude 1; "Yah....me either. Perhaps we should try the narrow path over there next time?"

Crazy dude 2; "Schnietzengruben"

Crazy dude 1; "Yah"
That's pretty good, but me and a buddy ended up on a very similar ride in a place called "Pozo".

We had the same two conversations in English, so I know exactly what they were saying.

I was leading.

First stop:

Me: "Here's a spot that's wide enough to turn around, if you want to."

Mitch: "Fuck that! I'm not going back down that shit! How much worse can it get?"

Me: "Yeah, might as well keep going."

Second stop:

Me: "It just got worse."

Mitch: " Know anyone with a helicopter?"

I agree Robert.
And I have seen Tiki's video and it is very cool and has some hairball sections of it's own.

But the WALL on the left, mixed into the equation blows everything else outa the water!

I've done some challenging ST but would never volunteer to ride the cliff's edge unless it was the only way out.

And the guys who say it's easy or ride that stuff, it sounds very much like the putdowns on good looking women on here. You know the ones who have SuperModels waiting at home with knee pads....lol
