Curious if any moto people are taking advantage of the overlap or are even aware of this? Surely some of the riders who are into golf are finding a way into the box?

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, there's a PGA tour event in Phoenix this week that is generally one of the biggest party scenes on the tour. I'm not into golf at all but looks like a good time to me.

Or better yet, the amount of big money companies that are at this thing, Feld should show up and just hand out tickets to anyone and everyone.

Thats a bucket list thing for me. It looks like it gets pretty wild and all the pros talk ab it, say, like riders do Red Bud.

lol, WM Phoenix Open is golf's Red Budd.  Seriously though this tournament is no joke, the fans just party for 3 days straight pretty much.

It's funny when people laugh about something and really all they're doing is telling you they have no idea what they're talking about.

If a lot of people with the means to go anywhere and do anything tell you something is their favorite event of the year, and your niche sport is in town at the same time, maybe check it out and try to take advantage of that in some way..... crazy thought, I know.....

Have you ever tried to push a wheelbarrow full of tickets up the 6th green in the rain?

I went yesterday and I’m going Saturday morning baring rain. It’s pretty damn fun. I’m not a huge golf guy by any means. Highly recommend if you’re visiting.

Mirtl will probably have the Lawrence fan extravaganza out there, so it's moto-related

I’ll be there at the tournament Friday.  Sucks that the weather isn’t looking too good for the week.  I’m leaving Minnesota tomorrow and it will be 56 here.  It’s saying 61 in AZ when we land.  At least it will be warm and dry in the stadium this weekend.

Red bud moto fans in the party lot would stuff the toughest golf partiers into a golf bag and play bumper pool with them using golf carts, and security would keep score for them.

Just because golfers eat donuts does not make them moto related.

Going to this event is on my bucket list for sure, it looks amazing every time I watch it!

TBH Feld would be smart to spend some advertising money at this event to get their own event further out there and being so close by.

Also, anybody crapping on this discussion or saying non-moto as it gets whatever is clueless. Last year this event brought in 700,000 fans, yes you read that right and I’m sure many of them are dirtbike fans too. The highest attended dirtbike event is MXoN at roughly 100,000 fans. SX/MX can only dream of this kind of attendance haha.

I figured and no worries man, just thought I'd throw it out there.

I'll probably still cruise over and check it out.

The wrong demographics ? Most golfers hear the word dirt bikes and think… wheelie boys in urban sanctuary cities….

This reminds me of a corny joke:

What's the main difference between Moto and Golf?

Answer: Golf requires only 1 ball. (...as recently proven by Mcadoo)

ba-dop ba dop, pssshh

Ok, I'm done now.

This just isn't true. Ton of overlap between the two crowds. You're making a lot of assumptions about golf. Lot of blue collar country types that golf regularly for cheaper than what an average practice day at the track costs.

Aint no way. Lots of racers and riders golf. And if they golf and dont ride, they think Ricky Fowler when they think dirt bikes.

Let me know. I live in the area now and want to spectate and help the party environment.

Rickie Fowler is pretty familiar with dirt bikes.  ...and the $58 million (prize money, not including the $12 million per year in endorsements) he has made so far in golf.

Was typing as you posted Claerhout
