Crazy old man Hughes? Who cares...
I seen that video of him get in that almost fight at the mx track...
Dude is a straight up kook sometimes but then will randomly spit out the most introspective and thought provoking advice you’ve heard in his next sentence. Can’t deny his toughness and everything, but his ego is absolutely out of control sometimes.
My thoughts are anything can sound dumb without full context. Pull the context to not mislead people

Ryno said his riding technique changed the sport.
Hmm, in that sense his straight back, hips out technique is exactly what we see being pushed. So is he wrong? He didn't originate it but was the first coach to push it
I think it would be cool if he sat with his legs crossed like the maharishi on the side of the track while watching Austin
Aldon Baker could say the same thing about his training, until a guy like Jett comes along and smokes all your guys lol. (I'm not a Jett dickrider don't flame me)
Mushrooms are powerful
No he isn’t. Literally every coach pushes this and has been since riding coaches were a thing.
Ryno reminds me of the grandpa on the Simpsons
Like this?
Ryno is awesome...
That’s just literally not true. Standing through everything was never taught until a few years ago. Ryno had pushed that for ages. Like I said, he didn’t originate anything. But he pushed it as a coach first.
You ever hear of a guy by the name of Gary Bailey?
Stefan Everts showed everyone the way. Ryno thinking he is some kind of motocross god (self anointed, which says a lot) is funny to watch. He said something similar on Swap moto and I was taken back that someone can think so highly of themselves.
Pit Row
He’s a character & for that, I enjoy his personality. Strange at times but who cares. Variety is the spice of life
In terms of technique, if he’s teaching younger riders a healthy way to ride - it’s good for the sport. Period
The crazy thing is i remember before Villopoto really started winning there was an interview with Ryno where he discussed the top riders of the time and said that Villopoto's style was capable of the most speed. Basically his stand up, feet in, hips unlocked style made him capable of going faster than Stew, Dungey and Reed. ....and he wasn't wrong.
Who cares if he thinks he changed the sport? I know I didn't change it, so I'm not offended by him saying he did.
Sounds like a 🍩 🍩 gargler if I’ve ever heard one.
It’s literally true. It’s the basics of riding a dirt bike. From minis you are taught to stand up and have proper technique. Just because not everyone can execute it doesn’t mean it’s not taught. Go to any riding school and this concept is the basis of the whole thing. Yes ryno is right, but saying he’s the first one to push it is just flat wrong.
I like his style when he cased the jump at Charolette Speedway and he broke his jaw!
Johnny O’Mara,he changed the sport…………he’s doing it right now with Jett
I know the exact interview. He broke down Dungey, Villopoto, Stewart, and Reeds technique. In was during the 2011 sx season when it was that 4-way battle. He was big on RV riding on the balls of his feet and I don't think Stewart did
