On a kind of related note, has riding gear quality gone down? I feel like standard gear was more durable 10+ years ago when I used to ride a ton. I just started riding again recently and all of the gear on the shelves feels so thin and flimsy, I could imagine a simple tip over tearing through some of these $150 pants 

I'm in the same boat. I took about a decade off and came back in '21. I still have a set of '08 Fox gear in great condition that I wore when I started riding again. Way more durable. But much heavier and hotter. Modern gear is like tissue paper. But much better fit and function to it. In my opinion.  I know most on here think it's too tight but I don't have a problem with it

Can we finally get gear companies to agree that modern moto pants are getting a bit thin in the Johnson area?

Agree with earlier posts the lad is super lucky it didn't get his sack too. Good thing McAdoo has a good sense of humour.
