That's not the kind of knock you want to take. Just glad it wasn't his back again.

I know jmart loves to ride so much, but he needs to stay safe out there for a few rounds first.

It's his call when he wants to hang up his boots but I hope he's thinking long term and post career. How's he going to be feeling at the age of 50 and what are the long term effects of all of these injuries. I get it that it's a passion and he still has a lot he feels he can offer but at the end of the day there is a lot of time after raving and he needs to be thinking about that as well.

He was obviously out and concussed but this is moto so we'll pretend it didn't happen and he'll be back on the bike Tuesday.

The older Jeremy gets the injuries continue to pile up. Would love to see ride a 450 outdoors this year and walk away healthy. Him and Troll seem like good dudes and going to miss the Martins when they both retire.

Everyone keeps suggesting outdoors, but his last major injury was at Hangtown so he is not immune to it there either.  He should do what he wants and race if he is getting paid and the risk is worth it to him.

Jmart is a legend. Big fan of both the Martin brothers. Hope the report of only a concussion is true because that was scary to see in person.

KTFO. That was hard to watch. Those are the ones that can take some time to clear the fog from.

I said that last year, along with Forkner. They didn't listen then. Wink

You said Forkner should hang it up? Good call

As an owner of a spinal fusion myself, that one hurt to watch.  I was hoping he was just knocked out but the way his legs weren't moving much really freaked me out.  So glad to hear it is only a concussion and I'm not downplaying that at all.  Concussions are no joke.  So bummed for Jmart, he has been down so many times.  Hope he gets back riding soon.

If its only a concussion I agree. But he's going to be one sore dude tomorrow. As far as others posting for him to hang it up, when healthy he's competitive and he's only 30. He was in the top 5 of the heat when he crashed. Certainly not a guy that should hang it up. Let him decide that. He will when he knows it time. He's had about the same stretch of luck as Forkner. It sucks, but he's tough and still fast. Hopefully he's going to be ok

Only a concussion? He was out cold. I'm pretty sure it wasn't his first concussion. That was a really bad head slam. I hope he listens to a really good neurologist and recovers properly.

The backboard is protocol for head injuries with a loss of consciousness. I would like to see more of it. I have seen spinal injuries after the fact when we put someone on a backboard as a precaution.

They should have a special flag to wave at guys on the track who need to be told to go the hell home before you cripple yourself permanently out here. Jmart needs that flag. So does Hammaker

We need a flag like that for posters here on Vital. I see many waving for you.

Well, I am in my 30's and already yelling at kids to get off my lawn.  Then again, kids have zero respect for the most part these days

I was thinking that the board was protocol for that type of crash. Just in case of spinal injury.

It is a little rude to say it like this, but I'm also a little worried about Jeremy if he keeps racing supercross. Maybe he can race the AMA Nationals on a 450 to show potential MXGP teams that he could be a interesting option for them. In a very nearby future will Ducati need someone to race their bike in the MXGP (2025) and because their American program only starts in 2026, an American rider could help them to promote the bike in America by racing it in the MXGP series.

Club has him signed til 26’, unless he pulled a Lopes… I don’t see that happening

Meaning that if his repaired back and everything else is ok. For you to think I'm minimizing the crash you're friggen nuts. The way he hit his head was about as bad you can get, and I know for a fact from personal experience that bad concussions can be worse than broken bones. I'm just glad he is relatively ok. I can't wait to see him soon.

Gotta feel bad to jeremy. That hit to the back of the head was ugly. I hope that FXR helmet is up to par but if it was me I wouldn’t race in anything but a bell or an Arai

Boomer, it is a badge of honor, young people are just too stupid to realize it.

Not downplaying a concussion by any means. Poorly worded on my end. He laid there without moving any part of his body for minutes. With his history, my mind went to spinal cord injury while sitting in the stands.

The FXR helmets are 6D Helmets with FXR graphics fyi. So he was luckily in the safest helmet on the market.

6D will have that helmet put under whatever kind of tests they do to see what they can improve on.
