The part you can’t seem to see is, comments being critical of Jett has literally NOTHING to do with where he’s from. But the anti American posts are simply directed at Americans, not a specific rider.

James Stewart, and RC were Americans and got their share of hate from fans. I doubt most of the hate is because he is not american. Like a few have said on here, Australians' have a history of not being as modest , that is really were being austrialion comes into it. I take his other actions into account . He has been great to his fans and seems like a really nice person overall. And I think it is more confidence than cockyness. That is how I see it.
Right now a large group is tired of seeing the name and hearing it anytime MX or SX has been on. I think that having Hunter also doing well in the other class. It was a 24/7 Lawrence this, and that. Now that Hunter is in the same class, that will not be happening and with time, people will come back around. Jett not dominating and having this rough patch may even help him out with the fans a little. Funny that being 8 points out of the lead, winning a main event , his 4th place last week and being so close to 2nd at A2 is a rough start to a season for a kid in his first year of 450 SX. Other than MC,Bradshaw and Dungey I bet that most racers would trade their first season for Jett's so far. Hopefully he can relax a little and take some of the pressure off of himself .

Cooper Webb has never finished top 5 in 450 outdoors but he's a 2-time SX champ. SX is different and so far Jett has 1 podium in 4 races....not very impressive
