I mean, record sales and radio play don't lie. To say Back in Black was huge would be an understatement.

It's like comparing Van Halen with Dave or Sammy. The second guy may have been a better fit but Bon and Dave were f-cking showmen!

Reminds me of an Eddie Murphy bit. Laughing

His dance moves are quite "unique" ....and even better in person!

I feel like such a swamp donkey for not knowing that term... Acca Dacca.  I do prefer Bon as well.

At this point, it seems like JA had given up the "shenanigans" and looked back, and then deliberately went wide, leaving an opportunity for 18 to pass, but it seems JL had  decided he would take him even higher in the berm. I think if JL had gone inside, the fallout would not have been as big.

I think you are exactly right.  I think you could break this down to…

1.  Jason rides defensively but nothing over the line.

2.  Jett gets frustrated and when Jason decides to let him by then Jett rides him high unnecessarily. (Your post ^^^)

3.  Jett doubles down with a look back hand gestures so Jason really knows his feelings are hurt.

4.  After the finish line the come here now gesture and the talking to he wanted to give Jason to let him know his feelings are really really hurt.

5.  The grabbing of the helmet.  Stupid and very disrespectful.

6. Jason grabs back very aggressively.  Jett pees just a little.  Jason tell him to FO and knocks his hand off.

7.  Jett looses it even more and proceeds to tell everyone, like an upset five year old, that his feelings are really really really hurt.

8.  Through embarrassment of association his people apologize, with a back handed insult, but Jett’s feelings are really really really really hurt now so he says nothing.

9.  Jason IGs and the world agrees….except for Australia…

Nobody is saying (to my knowledge) that Jett isn't a generational talent; the point is that he has demonstrated pretty low emotional intelligence and ability to control his impulses.  That will make getting those 71 wins a lot harder now that he's pretty much pissed off the entire 450 class with his condescending attitude (re: Roczen wave by, etc.).  As soon as he grabbed Anderson by the helmet he sealed his fate....

This place is in full NFG mode. It's not even the off season anymore and we have 25 pages of this and a thread about how McGrath's "the king of supercross" tag should have expired.  WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE.

I just hope that Jett and jason do not care that much about this. Or like another postersaid, their seasons will not be great. Move on. Really .   What could Jett have said to Jason that would justify getting so mad?

Flip the situation and have Jett holding Anderson up and Anderson yelling at Jett. Would Jason get the same hate?

Funny thing, when Jett was holding up Colt Nichols a couple years ago. Colt  went over and talked to Jett and they sat down on the side of a jump and appeared to have a more adult like conversation.  Colt handled that situation better than Jett, and Jett handled it better than Jason. Well more professionally . So Jett has been on both sides .

What is it that got Jason so riled up?  The Helmet grab? Or what was said?  I think Jason is pissed because he's not ready to be the old guy holding back faster riders. And whatever Jett said struck a nerve. Maybe Jason is trying harder than ever. Either way I feel like both racers handled it worse than they could have.

I hope that both are smart enough to put it behind them and not let it ruin their seasons. Jason has shown that he did not care in the past and would ruin his and Malcolm's season by keeping a dumb thing going. Jett and Colt Nichols talked it out and it was done after that one race. It only will hurt both racers seasons to keep a feud going ,as far as results go. I think that it will let us know  if one or both racers are more interested in drama and getting attention , or putting in good results. Both guys are fast enough they do not need to do dumb shit like this to be in the spotlight. If both are serious about their results they will  both put it in the past.

I think that They should both shake hands and agree it was dumb, and move on. Both be the bigger man and admit they both handled it badly for whatever reasons and move on.  They can even have Monster sponsor it and have it be the Monster Moment of the week. Jett and Jason can go out on Gokarts and smash the crap out of each other and be done with the BS after that.

Exactly; grabbing Jason's helmet was a major misstep.  These guys are full of adrenaline and Jett was probably frustrated to no end, but that would cause me to see red for sure if someone laid hands on me.

One more thing on the Lawrence camp:

On the Moto 60 show yesterday Matthes said he was getting some blow back for being critical of Jo Shimoda's performance so far, but did not specify the individual High chance it's from Mirtl, who apparently is the biggest sensitive Cindy in the paddock. This sport is so insipid at times, too big to be small and too small to be big.

I would bet that HRC is critical of his performances right now as well.  He HAS to win this weekend IMO.

It  hasn't been about Jett and Ando in about 10 pages....   Grinning

I'm wondering if we'll hit 30  pages before gate drop tomorrow and before the next weeks "bitchfest" starts.  Laughing    Will we be back to Friese....or will it be Ando punts Jett into the net.

I said that both guys handled it better that time. Not saying that Jett did not do anything wrong.   But when Colt started to talk to Jett, Jett did not just try riding away back then either , right?  Hard to say what would have happened if Jett had started to ride away . Or if Anderson had not started to ride away.  Perhaps Jett was going to say the same things that Colt said to him. And Anderson insulted him and started to ride off. We do not know .

We do know that Jason has a history of drama, and his social media posts are , if anything trying to add fuel to the fire.  Every time Jett has done or said something dumb , he owns it and doesn't do it again.  I like Both racers . I just think that Jason's approach in the past has only hurt his results. And sometimes its best to move forward instead of holding a grudge for dumb stuff like this.

I have had a racer come up to me after a race and jump up and try and grab my helmet , but he was only able to grab my chest protector. He was yelling, calling me a dirty rider.  waving his hands around. I just laughed and he walked away.   I'm not sure of the exact reason for that confrontation.  I did take creative lines that sometimes would cross over established lines. Only in corners, or going into sometimes coming out of , never on jumps. And I think there was another rider who said something to me another time. Might have been the same guy. No idea. I think that he somehow mistook me for another rider, but I don't know how since there were not any other riders as close to 7' tall as I was. But I put my focus on getting faster so that people behind me would not be a problem. If I was pulling away, I could take whatever lines I wanted. I was just a slow B rider that was top 5 on a good day. So the money and pressure was not there. But I feel like if Jason just took the energy and put it into getting faster instead of getting even, he could avoid having issues.

Great questions.

I would also like to know what made Ando explode.

Jett reaches for andos shoulder/neck and they talks a bit. Then Anderson explodes and try to ride away, Jett looses it and grab his helmet and then Anderson pop a vein and go after Jetts helmet.

Had not Anderson gotten so pissed and tried to ride away none of the helmet parts probably would have happend.

And no, i don’t blame Anderson for this before people get that in their heads. I just want to know what 2-3 words made him react like he did.

Dude, what? You literally say "had Anderson not tried to ride away....none of the helmet parts would have happened" but then say you aren't blaming Anderson??

So, Anderson should have stuck around? I think trying to ride away IS the mature thing to do. Maybe he recognized Jett was unreasonable in that moment and he wanted to deescalate the situation. Instead Jett lost his mind, and here is where my OPINION comes in....because Anderson didn't apologize. Sasquatch said something about Jett not making the same mistake twice, and taking accountability for his mistakes...maybe I'm forgetting something, but I don't remember Jett ever being humble. The kid is incredible, but humble he is not. The Roczen "gift", whining about SF not being canceled and literally saying it's "easy to make up points if I have to" absolutely reeks of entitlement and unhealthy ego. At the very least it's a symptom of not being able to read the room.

No, i still belive that both have parts in why it ended up why it did, i don’t put 100% blame on either one of them.

as i said, what words made him explode? That is the question i want media to ask this weekend.

Would those words have made any difference later in the pits or was it because it was 3 seconds after the race and they were full of adrenalin?
Jett looks fairly ”calm” when he talks and Anderson explodes.

People have made up their minds about this, i just want to know what was said that it escalated so quick.

What makes you think he exploded when he rode away?

Sure seemed like he just thought Jett was an idiot and rode away cause he was over it, then little Jett grabbed his helmet....that is when I would consider the "explosion" by JA which was then followed by an explosion of tears from Jett.
