I agree that Jett's present PR problems have been caused by Mirtl's over exposure. However, unlike other occupations, reputation problems don't really matter in moto. As long as Jett is as good as he is, Honda will be happy.
The problem with the 'likes' culture is that you don't know what people are 'liking'. In this case, does it mean they have a general dislike of Jett and that's what the 'like' means? Or are they simply 'liking' aspects of the post, and if so, what parts? Without any extra information, you don't know how much of it is driven by jealously on the part of some of the other riders.
The trouble with this season so far is the fact 2/3 of the races have been mudders. It's made it harder to figure where everyone stands. If Jett was getting straight up beat in normal conditions it would be easier to know how he was doing in the 450 class.
He has won 26 of 31 starts in the 450 class so far. Regardless of conditions he is going ok. 👌

I'd like to see you handle his insane training schedule, travel schedule, numerous media and sponsor obligations, the ACTUAL ridiculous pressure thats been placed on him by literally everyone to try to win this championship in his rookie season, and then hold perfect composure when put on the spot by a reporter like he was and come out with the perfect answer to please everyone. The only reason this is a landmine is because of people like you who are ready to tear this kid apart the moment he sets a foot wrong, for god knows what reason.
Also, have you all listened to the Matthes post race podcast where they talked about the tactics Anderson was using to stay in front of Jett? And the footage we're now seeing of it? (Saw it on maineventmoto's insta earlier). Whatever Anderson ride however you want it's all entertainment to me, but surely you can't expect to hear nothing from Jett after riding like that. He was clearly slower.

I'm Aussie and Jett isn't my favourite rider, an American is.
Think the biggest question now is.. Will Anderson waste another year and another opportunity to go for a title in order to show another rider he is better and getting revenge or will he let his Insty post be the take out and focus on racing forward and going for race wins that he has shown he has the pace to do. I am sure Kawi are not paying him to clean people out, he is their only hope for podiums, wins and a title this year.
As for Jett, he fucked up this time for sure, could of handled the whole situation better.
Though if Jett had just rolled over and let it go, all these guys bagging on him would call him a pussy for that, haters going to hate.
It is easy to see there is a good portion of people who have just been waiting for this opportunity to jump in and give a kick.

The drone footage speaks loudly, that's a fact. Still, Jett should have go back to the truck, take it on the shin and regroup for A2. But the JA/Jett argument is not a big deal either. All he have to do is go talk to JA at A2 and it's over.
