How many of these guys can…just might…win 5, 6 or 7 Mains/Over-Alls this season?

Here’s my list of The Usual Suspects:

Sexton

Tomac

Webb

Anderson

Jett

Roczen

Plessinger

Barcia

Just imagine “if” all of them won 1 main, yes…I know…some already have…but, if all of’em were to win 1…that’s 8 mains. Damn. I really, really like the sound of that. But, hey, sooooo many of you are gonna tell me how that ain’t gonna happen, right?

Here’s my list of guys that could win a main…could…if they get their shit together…

Cianciarulo

Stewart

Ferrandis

Cooper

Hunter

Prado

Thats 14 that I believe could win a main. Hell, you get  the stars to align…Wilson or Craig could win one…but, do we really want Vital to melt down?

Well, anyways, there you have it. I know, I know…complete madness. “Dude, you’re an idiot!” Yes, I guess I am. But, know this: I’m thinking about all of these possibilities based on the crazy stuff I’ve seen happen at the races since I was a kid in the ‘70s. Rick Ryan winning Daytona. Windham winning Daytona win Chad’s bike quit…Jake Marsack getting 3rd that night, remember him? How about Dubach winning San Jose in ‘91…?

Sure, call me crazy. Laughing

Yep, even Daddy Deegs won a SX that "one time". Smile

Either way I'm here for it. I just want to see some good racing.

When has his MO ever been to crush the field by 30 seconds ??

Tomac

Sexton if he’s over his late crashes

At this point, it comes down to the guy who can get the most consistent podiums or even top 5's every weekend. Tomac and Roczen have some work to do, but Tomac only really lost 2 points over the weekend. And with where he finished, that's not too bad.

At San Diego in Jett’s heat race he was several bike lengths behind the field heading down the start straight. 2 turns later and after the whoops he had the lead by 3 bike lengths. Believe me when I say I’m not a Jett fanboy, but I don’t see him losing once it dries up. He was stuck behind Anderson for a few laps and once he got by he gapped JA by 6 seconds in 2 laps.

I think it’s going to be a Jett runaway with occasion challenges from Webb/Sexton with Tomac/Roczen fading as the series moves along.

Jetts blast through the woops was absolutely the best Supercross move I have ever seen!

That and Eli's wheelie through the whoops.

If Jett gets on a roll in dry conditions over the next 3-4 weeks it could get away from everyone else.  If Coop can hang with him and maybe pressure 18 into a mistake or two while they’re still out west, I think he can bring the fight to him for the remainder of the series.  Historically, Webb gets better mid season onward, where the tracks get chewed up late in the race and he finds the fast lines before the others. The experience of two championships will come into play.  If Sexton don’t Sexton, he has the speed to be right there.  If Eli can get the steam engine rolling in the next few rounds, with all the experience he has, can’t count him out either.  Wouldn’t surprise me at all to see the 3 win one more Daytona.  That could be his springboard to another championship run.  I think these four are the real contenders, barring injuries.  Probably a random win here or there from the other fast guys but I wouldn’t bet on any of them to win the title.  Just my 2 cents.  That and a 5 spot might get you a cup of coffee at Dunkin but not at Starbucks.  Carry on.

Are we forgetting that on the next lap he bailed off trying to blitz them again?

Webb or Tomac, can’t count anyone out, but money is on those two. They’re the most rested and have done it before.

Being an Aussie I wanted Hunter to win, now that that dream is over I vote Jett.

But in all reality who knows, it's still within the reach of 5 guys.

I don’t think anyone can predict it as of now..3 rounds in. 3 winners. 3 points leaders. I’d say we need to see a few more races as 2/3 has been mud. Need to see how Tomac looks on dry conditions. Kenny has been flying..he will get some wins. Jett is obviously the favorite when it’s dry..Webb will do Webb things and be there. It’s a toss up right now. Jett/webb/tomac/chase/ken

This exactly. I’m not sure if my memory is smoked but it seemed to me like he was cruising at A1 with a 2-5 second lead all main? Or outdoors when Chase  was all over his ass and Jett kept a 3 second lead the entire time? But again..I could be dumb.

Jett, Eli and Sexton for the speed, Webb for the tenacity. I don't see anyone else seriously in the running unless that win lit a fire under AP and he starts a win streak. Then again, he's in the points lead right now, so...

It would not surprise me to see Hunter being a frequent podium finisher by seasons end.

Round 1 coop was right there with speed, round 3 he was fastest in heat and main. Coop getting comfortable could be very scary for other riders. Hes only gonna get better. Add in the mind games… would be surprised if he doesn’t win this weekend, he had that look in his eyes on the podium.

Tomac might have something to say about that.

imo the way I’m seeing it & analyzing it , it’s really Jett’s title to lose , with the bad race in San Fran & a shit start to salvage a 4th in SD to be only down by 4 pts , thts scary cause when the track is dry , he’s untouchable! Eli , I feel he goona get going when it’s too late but time will tell , so really based on speed wise & body english at the moment , oddly enuff my 2 favs , Kenny & mini coop is the only 2 thts on par with Jett right now.  history will tell u if u let coop hang around , it’s goona be very very tough for u , so its goona come down to Jett & coop with Jett coming out on top

It's too early to tell, anything can happen.  History shows these guys usually drop like flies in Supercross, so any of the favorites could be the last one standing or they could all crash out and Ferrandis could win....or Barcia.

It's going to be really hard for anyone to beat Jett in dry conditions. I think Webb could, but not consistently enough for a championship.

What 2 or three guys are going to take the reins of this series in the next few races? I'm thinking Jett and Webb are my two favorites right now but I'm not counting out Chase, Eli and Kenny to be in the mix. AP and El Hombre are still question marks to me.
