Curious of those that had Enzo do there suspension.   I only have about 4 hours on mine after having it done.   Had them install there spring tubes, shock bumper kit, bladder cap, and shock compression adjuster.    I ride vet b/a depending on the day.   I'm 190 in street clothes.    They went up 1 rate in the front and back and changed the ics springs as well.   I ride northeast tracks that generally start out loamy but quickly turn hard packed with a lot of braking/acceleration bumps.

I had to go a fair bit out on the compression adjusters front and rear and slow the rebound down a bit from where there had it to be comfortable.

-4 on fork compression +2 rebound

Shock I am -4 ls -2 turns out hs and in 2 clicks on rebound.

Been running my forks flush on high speed tracks with the luxon 23mm offset and about 104 sag.   Seemed to get rid of the head shake I was getting in 4th gear down choppy straightaways.

This made the bike way less harsh trying to charge through big chop but still has good bottoming resistance on big flat landings.

The HS adjuster I have noticed has 6 1/2 turns of adjustment over the stock 2 so quite a bit more of fine tuning there.

Are they generally a little on the stiff side?  Assuming it will break in some as I get some more time on it as well.

It's definitely a major improvement over the stock setup as well.

Look at the Enzo set up as aspirational… with the new found confidence in your suspension you will go faster and then need it to be stiffer. Only half joking.

Your experience mirrors mine on several revalves done by Enzo on different bikes, maybe not 4 out on comp, but 2 or 3 until it breaks in, and also slowing rebound like you did.

The break in is part of why it feels firm now obv but also it’s meant for going Fast AF like Craig.

I have mine out to Enzo now. Excited to try it!

Inquiring minds want to know! So .... Ezno revalve is good?

Yep. Have had mine for ~10 hours now and love it!

Spent the day yesterday with the 24 YZ450F on the dyno.  Tuned in a really good map for the Pro Circuit full system.  Saw really good gains.  Knocking on 60HP right now.

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket prefilter screen that fits the stock intake cage?  We build a lot of snowbike so we need that.  Also, anyone know if there is an aftermarket airbox cover with venting?

Your product is super clean & the "ready to install" aspect really sells it for me. The dynamic charts are just icing on the cake. NICE WORK!

The 24 yz250f air filter cover allows more air flow.  The holes are on the gas cap side.
I called my guy at Star he suggested the 250f cover for more mid range.

Anyone have a fmf or yosh exhaust forsale for this bike? Looking for aftermarket parts as well.

Thank you!  I really wanted to actually have numbers behind the product to prove it was worth the money, the fact that you can’t get dyno data for your new $1k+ titanium exhaust to show what performance improvement you can expect is mind blowing to me.  Unless someone can prove me wrong I truly believe this is the cheapest, easiest power gain for the YZs.

Just bought  used 23 yz450f, looking for pictures of the Harness behind the front left shroud, ours has 3 couplers just hanging low, trying figure out how it is supposed to be, thanks!

They’re only two couplers on my 24 on the left side. There are more lines that run down underneath the radiator that hook up to the group, position sensor  and the alternator, though.

Hope this helps!

Picked up a 24 to race off-road, and some motocross. Have less than two hours so far but holy moly the motor is incredible. Feels light, super responsive, and pulls harder down than my 23 Husqvarna FC450.  Forks are great as well, but I’m shocked at how tall the rear is, and how high it rides in the stroke. It’s massively under sprung for me, which is probably the culprit, but suspension is going out to REP in a few days. Love Enzo as well, but the REP set up on my last Husqvarna was really good. Going to try them for yamaha .

I’ve been setting up for off-road, so if anybody has any questions happy to share what I’ve learned so far.

Few things I’ve noticed. bike is super easy to work on! Less bolts than the old yamaha ‘s and lots of space everywhere.

The Brembo doesn’t come with a rubber protector for the line at the master cylinder, which is odd. The actual clutch also feels a little soft, which is definitely going to fade under hard use in Enduro and tight stuff.  Once this clutch wears out I’m going to try a Hinson pack.

Got a flat seat from guts but went with the 14 mm taller one. It’s really soft despite being listed as medium. Also feels pretty tall, but I think that has more to do with the shock.

The oversize IMS tank takes up every little piece of space, and is a full 2.8 without sticking up past the seat like they used to. It requires you to remove the battery box and shift electrical components around. They want you to mount the ECU underneath the fuel pump, parallel to the grounds. I feel like that will get massively dirty, so I mounted it on the side instead, but that sets off the tip over sensor, which apparently launch control. Apparently, this is not an issue with the vortex ignition.

Also got an 18 inch wheel from an FX, but have to replace the bearings with larger inner diameter ones for the larger rear axle of the F. Will confirm this week if the newer beans actually fit that hub.

Also, noticed that the older chain guide and guards won’t fit. Was hoping to use an old bulletproof brace, but it doesn’t have enough room to mount, even though the bolts lineup.

Hope this helps and will share feedback on vortex and REP set up soon. I have high hopes.

I just got the Works Connection lower foot peg mounts and really like them.

what is your weight that you feel shock is riding high?

I basically did the same with mine. I had one of the first IMS tanks. They had me mount the ecu on the side. No good! bike would stall after 10 seconds. What a deal that was trying to figure it out! I used AHM. Got it working rally really good. Motor is a joke! Ended up selling as it was just to nervous at speed, even with a stabilizer and 23.5 clamps.

Good luck! and who made your side plate graphics? bad ass!

I don’t think there’s any couplers behind the front shroud. Let me take a look next time I’m in the garage.

@CarlinoJoeVideo will definitely let you know about the suspension. I also have a twisted ECU with gear mapping, which I think partially came from your work with Jaime. Going to try it out tomorrow and hopefully it works well off-road as well, since there’s no second map option.

@GPrider did your bike literally stall while riding? Or only when it was running on the stand? Mine will only die if I leave it sitting, but if I’m opening the throttle at all, it won’t die. Hopefully that the Vortexx is good so that I won’t have to deal with this anymore.

Also, are you in the Bay Area out of Kensington?

Redlabel does all my graphics and I’ve been using this style for several years. I actually usually wrap the side number plates in those colors that they did the style down below when I raced a KX a few years ago and I liked it.

Last thing is I pulled the bearings out of the 2023 450 FX rear wheel and unfortunately the sprocket side bearing has a much larger outer diameter. I guess I probably could’ve eyeball that first without taking it apart… The bearings from the newer bikes with the larger axle will not work.

So if you want an 18 inch wheel you have to order a 2024 FX rear wheel, a 2023+ F hub and build one, or get an aftermarket one.  Fun for me…

what is your weight that you feel shock is riding high?

@CarlinoJoeVideo I’m 6’ and 232lbs without gear.

when I got the bike. The static sag was at something like 50. I wrote it for about half an hour just to break the engine in and the rear felt super high, which is a little odd, considering the stock spring probably isn’t having enough for me.

Time out I adjusted the SAG to 107 with gear, but it was pretty tight at 30 static and had lots of preload. Interestingly, it felt basically the same to me. Maybe the shock was super stiff brand new.

I ended up going out a half a ton of high-speed, click on compression and click slower on rebound. This helped a little, but off throttle the rear comes up way too fast and sits way too high high through things like rocks.

My guess is REP will have run two or three rates stiffer for my weight and height.

I agree about couplers, I don’t think there are any. Just 2 on the left frame.  Post a photo and maybe we can help.

Interested if you like the ecu.  I’ve found that I can go -1 on low and mid fuel trim if you want to more connected/snap. And +1 on low and mid if you want it softer on throttle response. This also can help you based on elevation you are riding. I typically always end up back in the middle at 5 for some reason.

Also, noticed that the older chain guide and guards won’t fit. Was hoping to use an old bulletproof brace, but it doesn’t have enough room to mount, even though the bolts lineup.

Hope this helps and will share feedback on vortex and REP set up soon. I have high hopes.

what is your weight that you feel shock is riding high?

when I got the bike.

Off the show room the fork oil was 40cc low from where it was supposed to be on the 23 YZ 450 i had but you are to heavy for the spring.

How much were the fork coatings? Looks great!

Drooling over those coatings.

PSA: Fork lug protectors are a worthy investment. Stock coatings look like $#!% after 30 hours of riding for me... If you don't lean much, not such an issue!Laughing

Edit:

PSA#2 that isn't '23 Yz450 specific: Acerbis peg pivot covers are also worth their weight in gold! Very happy with mine.

Fun for me…

my ECU was acting just like yours, but it was a Friday night when I installed the ims tank, so no help from them over the weekend. I finally figured it out about 2 am while laying in bed unable to sleep!

I have a 18" wheel complete, its a Tusk, new condition if anyone needs one

Getting my new 250 done as we speak, what are you planning on applying to the wear points on the forks to preserve the coating? I was thinking some kind of 3M material but havent sought anything out yet

I’ve had these for over a year and only have the kyb stickers which cover a lot of the fork, no dings or wear yet, seems pretty durable
