I think that the bikes would have looked better with a light grey plastic, or the metallic grey. The white feels like an afterthought. Maybe I'm not old enough to know what the look is they were going after. I was picturing an Elsinore with silver bodywork. Was there one with a silver tank and white fenders ?

I agree, whoever designs their one-offs should design their entire range.
I'm sure it's the same person(s), and I get that they need to make their regular gear appealing to a wider audience, but god damn aplinestars... take some bigger swings on the regular gear. Go bold. Risk it.

It's a monumental step up from the pink, but I guess if you're that fast you can wear Barbie stuff and still be awesome.

When it comes to the bikes though, I’m loving the Yamahas. That purple seat takes me back hard.
Before the elsinores became silver and red (or green), the first 250 was white and red.
Even if the whole silver looks more complete (and has been done thousends of times before) this is the correct color for what they are going for now.
and i salute Honda for doing something new instead of the same thing again and again when it comes to retro night.
Or I don't and continue to push back against the majority. Not everyone has to be a Lawrence nut hugger like yourself.
