Are there really 1000hp jet skis racing?

For me personally, it's because he made the sport sound like a cheesy circus.  It's a serious sport and needs serious commentary - like you get with Paul Malin in MXGP. 

Agreed. He’s really really good and the show is better than it has ever been besides cutting to interviews part way through the races…  that shit can gtfo. 
 

If paul Malin was the commentators Supercross would die to quick. Supercross is not a ‘serious sport’ it is a crowd driven spectacle with a highly produced live and televised show run by a circus company.
 

If you want ‘serious’ stick to golf and Tour de France, not supercross. 

It will never happen, but how cool would it be for Travis Preston to be the "guy on the track"?  He never has a problem telling it like it is, and I don't think he'd be afraid to ask the hard questions.

Serious question: does British football have an American announcer on their main broadcast team?

Everyone complains about the announcers when meanwhile, BONDO is the one “throwing it” to Will two seconds before the gate drops and changing camera angles to show some lapper hanging around in midpack while there is a battle happening out front. And don’t even get me started on the hotlaps during RDL 🤦🏻‍♀️  

I legit scream at my TV every Saturday;

“WHAT TF ARE YOU DOING BONDO?!?!” without fail. 

These never-ending threads about announcers and TV coverage is so ridiculous and frustrating at this point. Who cares? Like complain about stuff that matters.  BTW it's an extremely difficult sport to broadcast and announce at real time. Be thankful it's on live TV for goodness' sake. We could have Jim Nantz or Al Michaels calling Supercross and we would still have these stupid threads. 

JT is the best person on the track we had in years (besides Blair), I don't understand why they would bring Will over JT honestly. I get it, it's probably a contract thing with NBC in SX. 

Something like JT's breakdown could be really cool in the future, that type of content was what I was always looking for on the weekend..

JT is a solid dude, and his love for the sport shines through in his presentation.  The thing about putting him in the booth is the potential for his opinions to be "toned down".  Any racer/rider that has sat in the booth will tell you- the producers will tell you what you can and cannot get away with saying.  

James' banter is awesome. Using rider names to crack jokes like "Levi's said the Kitchen ain't closed yet..." and shit like that...

Dump the NBC network, have Feld/AMA/MX Sports run their own TV programs on youtube. Hire back Langston and Weege for year-round announcing and ban Vince from ever competing in the AMA ever again. All problems solved.

If you think supercross commentary is bad, try watching 90 minutes of high pitched shouting that makes Will Christien sound like Morgan Freeman reading a bedtime story in comparison...

I would pay extra to hear just the bikes and crowd when the Diffey/RC combo is on.  Worst combo we have had ever. Over hyped yelling and dramatization makes sport look like a circus.  JS7 saved it last week and I find Weedge to be excellent.  He and JS7, or MC, RJ, RV, GL, Fro, Ping would be the best bet.    Also, JT should be the only on track reporter, period.  He has evolved as one of the best.  The production is suspect as well with the rider tracker taking up almost a 1/4 of the left hand side of the screen.  Just put it at the bottom like MXGP.  And the split screen?  Totally unnecessary unless a title is getting wrapped up .  Its like the producer has no idea what the fans want to see sometimes.

As a lifer fan of the sport I guess it's kinda weird to hear a guy who sounds like he is calling F1. Not that that's bad. He does a great job for sure. Does his homework,100% Pro. As long as the other person in the booth is an experienced vet rider I think it works good and satisfies both demos. The hard core fan, and the casual fan. 

It's obvious to me that this year specifically Feld is trying hard to raise the sport higher than ever. Adjusting race times to accommodate the east better, Spanish broadcast, all on same network (or app), and other things that looked way more professional in the opening round. 

I feel the team now is great and massively improved.  Weege being there is HUGE and JT is doing awesome too.  The only one that needs to stay gone is RC.  He has turned into a yes man and still can barely form complete sentences along with giving the same analysis over and over since that all he knows to say.  Inside/Outside and some like to follow vs. lead etc.  RC was an incredible rider, but at best should be a pit reporter.

Except the money part. The whole reason we have integration of Feld and MX Sports is because NBC wanted the SMX playoff. Without NBC buying in for a whole lot more money at the end of 2022 none of this would have continued.  My guess is without NBC involved we'd have a Feld broadcast for Supercross that would charge $250 minimum, and MX Sports would be back on MavTV, then move to the Flo Sports rapists, and by the final round all you'd be able to watch is some fan's IG Live if there is cell phone coverage at the track.

Diffey is OK, but why is Blair gone and Ricky still there? Is Ricky the token "It will be OK in the future if you are home schooled." dude? Great rider, but he is genuinely not good, he makes the sport look bush league. Why the hell did Blair get forced out? Everyone from Matthes to Blair himslef drop hints about Blair being pressured out, why the secrecy?

To me, with all these Keyboard Moto Geniuses, why do they not just mute the sound and be able to essentially see what is happening? Their keen eyes, depth of knowledge and high IQ would provide such a unique perspective, knowledge and correct analysis of the action.

Or, you could just boycott the program until they removed the announcers. 

In my opinion… Leigh Diffy screams too much. Supercross is an exciting sport, it doesn’t need a guy yelling every time someone falls or someone passes another rider. Leigh’s over-volume commentary is too high volume. Supercross doesn’t need a screamer. He is knowledgeable, but he doesn’t need to yell so much… Mellow out to about 50% of his current volume… So I can stop pushing the mute button on the remote. Chill out a bit.
