Maybe because the General himself has determined anyone who is diametrically opposed to anything Deegan is by default "a hater" due to the fact they are totally overcome by jealousy.

Deegan went east because his mechanic broke his leg.

Credible? It’s been posted multiple times he injured himself and it’s even been said he’s iffy for the East opener. He’s just a Deegan apologist that is trying to throw something out there to keep the injury info on the down low

Nobody cares.

Keep on hating the kid bud... it's gonna be a rough 10-15 years for ya!

Haha, so some Aussie trying to twist my words into some woke BS? Thought you guys were supposed to be harder than that.

Just saying a shitload of people care whenever Deegan races... has a fan base comparable to Jett, and both are going to be top dudes for years to come so get used to it.

Lots of miss info in here. I believe it was Rick Johnson’s Radius that took him out. The scaphoid in the hand and the navicular in the foot are NOT the same other than they are small bones in your foot and hand. Breaking of the scaphoid is sometimes called the “skaters” break or better yet for people that typically fall on there hands and over flex their wrist which in turn snaps the bean shaped bone. The problem is it’s totally encapsulated in tissue and the bone itself gets poor blood supply (needed for healing). Non displaced hairline fracture will typically take a screw or pin to secure in place but it takes time for the bone to mend on its own naturally.  There are several ways to speed it up or keep it on track for a normal bone break and I am sure Deegs is getting whatever I takes to get it back 100% asap.

“Keep on hating the kid” - not much word twisting going on…

In any case, I’m already used to what the foreseeable future will look like 😂

Deegan is talented and probably the best of the current crop of 250 riders.  He’ll most likely win a few 250 titles but if Jett is still around his 450 career will be pretty lean.

Tomac, Anderson, Webb, Barcia are likely to retire in the next few years, it would be disappointing if Deegan doesn't represent his country, and step up and be competitive in the 450 supercross and motocross classes.

I broke mine 3 times. The first two were cast under the supervision of a standard ortho. The third time I finally got sent to a sports ortho who was the hand/wrist specialist for the Sac Kings. He took less than 10 seconds looking at the original X-rays to say I should have had surgery the first time and he felt the navicular/scaphoid break couldn't handle the stress of motocross without surgical repair.

I got a screw, and a bone graph from my hip, and I wore an electrical bone stimulator for 3 months. Wasted the better part of 2 racing seasons but never had an issue since.

I think he's already doing a pretty good job of that, sick photo by the way!

Where's a photo of Jett waving the AUS flag on the podium after his first win? I looked but couldn't find it...

Then why did you bring up something about representing his country?

Here's a sick shot of Jett. We'll take him, he can be a dual citizen just like Reed.

I wasn't aware that a local American series was one where you were supposed to represent your country so why would he wave the Australian flag.

Here's a couple of pics of him with the Australian flag in an event were you do represent your country though.

Exactly and I would bet that Deegs is getting that treatment or better. I would look for him to be back on the bike 6 weeks post surgery, whenever that was.

Haha, local American series huh? Is that why everyone comes over here? To race in our hillbilly local American series?

Come on mate! Laughing

I'm glad to see Deegan is a proud American and shows it often, it would be cool to see others do the same.

Why is it a little hillbilly series just because it's a national series?

I'm just pointing out that although nationality of riders is frequently mentioned, it's not a series that you represent your country at, eg like the MXoN or the Olympics...and you're smacking your keyboard like a jackhammer.

Try to relax.

Up until maybe 10 years ago, Navicular was commonly used as the name for both the bones in your wrist/hand and foot/ankle. Now scaphoid is more commonly used for the wrist and Navicular used when talking about it in the foot.  Both are shaped  similarly, both do similar things as far as movement, both do not get much blood to them making them both hard to heal , Both shared the same name for the same reasons.  They are VERY similar in the issues they cause  when they do not heal. As far as pain and movement in the area.

The Scaphoid is literally the Navicular of the hand/wrist.  It is easy enough to find all or most of this info on google if anybody wants to.

I broke mine ( foot)  Super long story but it took 12 years total to get to the point it is not on my mind 24/7.  Its been another 10 or so years since the last surgery I had and I finally have enough fat back in the bottom of my foot to be able to walk barefoot without it feeling like I'm wearing Lego shoes.  My leg is still weaker than the other leg. Bad foot on left, torn ACL on the right. I just bought an EMTB to try and get back into some sort of shape. And test out my foot.  I broke the first plate they used, but now I have a plate that is normally used in a fibia.  I wish I had taken a year off, might have saved me a LOT of pain and Dr. visits. But I think I was doomed from the start since I had crushed the Navicular along with some of the other low blood flow bones.

THANK YOU!!!!! My brain was not computing the difference between a scaphoid and a navicular bone, and I remember RJ was taken down by his "navicular" back in the day, so I can relax now, I'm not totally brain dead!

Yup, while they may not be identical twins. They share a name and are very similar in lots of ways.  I just listened to the RJ podcast that is on Pulp. To see if he said which bone was the issue. He never named any bones unless I missed it. I am working at the sametime.  But he talked about  crashing and breaking his hand and complications from that. The practice crash  when he was landed on is what started his issues. The broken hand and non union that resulted put the nail in the coffin of his time racing MX. I did a quick search to see what the interweb said about RJ. And it agrees that it was a scaphoid/navicular injury.  I did not find anybody saying anything different except the post I responded to above.

Other than Him posting he is going to be racing, has there been any other official News?

Sorry for my part of derailing the thread.

If the rumors are true not sure how he could know unless he is already cleared to ride. You know how it is when the Doctor says no riding.
