What happened to Benny last night in the LCQ? I saw in the results that he DNF’ed, but I didn’t see what happened on the broadcast.

I was wondering the same thing.
Watching from the stands, he almost looped the start then cruised the first half of a lap not pushing then pulled into the mechanics area and was done. It has to be mechanical.
Glad he left healthy. It has to be terrifying developing a new bike under Supercross race conditions.
Yea, but they've been testing for month on end.
Making mains will be a solid start for the team this year.

I wonder if there was nothing wrong and Benny just gave up and quit?
He’s a factory rider now. They don’t get to quit just because they’re over it. Sounds like he had a bike malfunction of some sort based on the earlier post.
Definitely a bike issue.
keefer insinuated mechanical probs on twitter, but of course wouldnt give details..
From what I heard it's electrical related.
That’s a rough start for the Beta SX team. I wonder if any other factory teams DNFed their debut race.
It's not a full "Factory" effort at this point, and Club MX which is a very established team had a rider not start the main when their bike had an issue. It's a dirt bike and shit happens, the timing was just really unfortunate.
Shortly after Sexton passed him in the heat the camera showed him giving his mechanic a ride back, so he DNF'd the heat too
Watch the start again. He literally almost loops out when the gate dropped and it obviously freaked him out as he didn't even really get on the gas after that.
Also strange that he lined up so far away from everyone.
The bikes so new they havnt made a holeshot device to fit it yet!!
but seriously, when the start device is engaged it would actually be difficult to do a wheelie like that unless your sitting at the back of the seat….. or the Beta has so much more power & is a total beast! 💪🏻
I may be way off on this but these electrical issues on these new "smart bikes" are a bit strange and begs the question can the electronics be interfered with from an outside source?
Tell me you watch Fox news without telling me.....
Oh ok jackass - I think this is a legit question we used to run data collectors for power companies if they were set up to talk bluetooth and link up to other devices some would get mixed signals and not function properly. Probably a mistake to respond to someone like you as your response explains exactly who you are.
Pit Row
So they don’t make a holeshot device for a KYB fork?????
Yeah so in your opinion there is a chance that there are teams that are hacking into Benny's bike ? Ok.
In the early days of remote door locks on cars, lots of garage doors used to mysteriously open by themselves. Long before Fox News!
read it again slow this time. reading comprehension is not your strong point.
So this is where we are at. As far as i know theres never been an accusation of a team stealing code before. No ecu information stolen or attempted from jett, Eli or chase previously.
But when a team in their very first pro Sx has a rider loop out on the line....theres actually a pathway that leads you to think ecu hi jacking and not toward the path of first race fuck ups? Like not a simple clutch, rpm, or launch device issue?
So then lets go through what team would not only go to the lengths of hacking/stealing ecu data from another team,BUT THEY CHOOSE TO STEAL IT FROM A TEAM COMPETING IN THEIR VERY FIRST SX RACE!
Name someone who would do that, really. I would like to know someone and what team specifically that you lean towards....
Gti obviously watches CNN and MSNBC.
I’m on board with this, totally! It wouldn’t surprise me if Roger DeCoster, Jeremy Coker, or some fan in the stands, made Benny wheelie out of the gate and were fucking with his ignition timing on the first lap. But then again, It might’ve been something completely innocuous like somebody trying to open their car with a key fob right when the gate dropped.
I didn't take spitinabuckets post as he is insinuating a conspiracy of sabotage but rather there is so much ...I dont know what you want to call it, radio waves? frequency waves?....floating around that perhaps something interfered. Probably not, but an interesting theory.
Its kind of like in the old days when you would try to watch tv and your neighbor got on his ham radio to talk to his kid he father in Vietnam during the war and it effed up the evening news.
Thank you sandberm - all I am saying is anyone (not even ever thought of another team - that thought is for nutty ones) but any phone, lap top, device anything that runs bluetooth. Could it send something to the programmer on the bike? IDK but if they did not turn off the link capabilities after they turned a rider loose just a thought on could it change something? As I said before I used to have at least 12-14 data collection devices running at the same time and interference was a real thing we had to deal with. I saw Phil have issues, and talk of another club mx issues, and Bloss and who knows who else.
😂😂😂I was gonna say that, but then I figured I’d sound like a totally ignorant morAn. Smart Bikes? - That can be hacked?😂😂. Like an early 70’s RF garage door?😂😂 remotely??😂😂 yup, that’s gotta be it, either that or Jewish space lasers😂😂 I laugh only because everyone knows all the factory’s use GETs new RFID ECU safe wallets to prevent that - and how could Beta forget 😂😂😂
As others have tried to point out to you, he never suggested the signal was stolen and intentionally tampered with. That is something you incorrectly assumed and then went off into a tangent over.
