But wait a minute. Isn't it common knowledge that Honda pays the most money to all the mags for ads so they win every year?

Let me guess TWMX loves KTM's power but hates the ride.

TWMX>>

"Depending on the track, the KTM 450SX-F was sometimes one of the best-liked bikes in the comparison. When all was said and done, though, testers simply preferred the crispy feel of EFI and the fast-rewing powerbands that the technology produces. KTM continues to close the gap in handling arid ergonomics on the more traditional Japanese machines, and this is without a doubt our favorite KTM yet. What does the 450SX-F need to top the other in 2011? Well, it’s already got the best clutch and the only electric starter in the class.. .all it needs now is an updated intake system and a further refined suspension package,"

Nothing odd at all about bike tests. They are all bogus.

So TWMX and MXA combined says:

Kawasaki
Yamaha
KTM
Honda

Evidence points towards bias and personal preferences. What a surprise. >_>

I'd go with this list... but insert Suzuki when released, just in front of KTM

Hey what's up with MXA's 250 shootout, I was hearing the Honda sucked but beat the Husky? Kawi and Yamaha taking the honors.

I know, I should go find the mag, is it on shelves already?

Call me silly but I always take MXA at face value. Every bike that I have ridden over the years has been exactly what they said it was. EVERY SINGLE ONE. And what they said would make it better did. EVERY SINGLE TIME! With that having happend over the last 20 years why would I ever not take them at their word? If they say the KTM is the best bike this year then it is. No questions asked. I will only ever doubt them when what I wrote above changes.

The term mind control (also referred to as “brainwashing,” “coercive persuasion,” “thought reform,” and the “systematic manipulation of psychological and social influence”) refers (according to Michael Langone) "to a process in which a group or individual systematically uses unethically manipulative methods to persuade others to conform to the wishes of the manipulator(s), often to the detriment of the person being manipulated .[1] Various commentators[who?] identify broad ranges of psychological tactics seen as subverting individuals' sense of control over their own thinking, behavior, emotions, or decision making.

+1. Whether you agree with their editorial style or not, MXA's bike tests are pretty widely accepted as the most thorough, detailed and exhaustive.

I honestly think MXA has some credibility without having any evidence supporting this. In general I like what they type in their bike tests. Seems accurate. I'm very happy for KTM, they have put in a lot of passion in this, and it finally paid of!

he has rode the kxf and that is all. But because that is the bike he purchased it is the greatest ever. If he bought the honda, he would be saying it was rigged, if he bought the KTM he would be saying MXA nailed it and twmx goofed it up.
For gods sake, he is putting a bike that hasnt even been released in the middle, his head is so far up his ass, I dont know how he can breath.

Exactly, which makes his opinion, completely worthless

I can't say now but back in the day I know that MXA raced and practiced week in and week out with the different test bikes and if you knew Jody and the boys you could race a 2nd Moto for one of them or just borrow the bike for a weekend of racing. So what I'm trying to sayis the really do check out the bikes before they say they are good or bad.

The Main at San Fran had

8 KXF 450
6 CRF 450
3 Yam 450
3 Suz 450.

Locally in Wash you see about an even slit on green and red, then blue and Orange and yellow

Universally the mags and are down on the 09 and 2010 CRF 450 and if you watched them in the outdoors and SX last year you could see the factory guys struggling.

Red Riders tend to make emotional purchases and stay really loyal to the brand. Good for them.

I have ridden the 09 CRF, RMZ, KXF, and now the 2010 YZF. I have the 2010 KXF and it is by far the strongest motor. I am also 6'2" and love the openess of the ergos.

the 09 and 10 CRf probably is fine for little guys, 5'5" - 5'8" but is way to dinky for a taller rider.

Pretty good first post. I like Honda a lot, but I always have to put taller seat, bar and lower foot pegs because they are build for below average length? The CRs stood taller...

I'm 185 centimeter = 6.069 553 805 8 feet. I'm not that keen in your measure system Smile

First thing I thought of after seeing that TWMX picked the Kawi. Thought it was wierd after I read that MXA loved the KTM and said the Kawi handled like shit in thier head to head comparison.

Pretty sure DirtRider went yz,ktm,kx, cr. Was a sea of green this past weekend at local phoenix track. But almost every single (dirt)bike NOT going to a track is orange. Suzuki looks like the goods this year, if we ever see one outside super-pros.
