Vince's angle of attack to the inside was pretty damn aggressive. He deserves some blame, but most of it was on Hunta for not realizing it a fraction sooner to let off and avoid the dive bomb.

Hunter wasn't the only one surprised by a move to the far inside this far before the turn.

I agree he owned the real estate and could do with it what he wanted. He chose to almost take himself out, screw up a certain holeshot, and wreck a bunch of guys' races. If he just would have headed naturally for the apex of the corner he would have had a huge holeshot. Idiot.

Similar incident happened last year with Austin Forkner going down on the start and everyone here blamed him for not letting off the throttle/slowing down. Too much bias here with certain riders.

I fail to see how Friese deserves any blame for that first turn crash. He does a lot of boneheaded things but this surely is not a good example of that.

Anyone know what happened to Friese in the main? Saw he came together with Wilson and then walked off the track holding his arm/hand? Maybe he'll take a few weeks off.

Its all just one big coincidence that friese took out hunter and sexton in the heat and then malcolm and kenny in the main. All of the carnage that is constantly happening around friese is just bad luck and the guy gets a bad wrap. Its definitely not a pattern that has stayed the same for years and all of the riders who are pissed at his unnecessarily dangerous antics are just cry baby whiners. Every incident that happens with friese can be explained away as a racing incident, so it doesnt matter that it keeps happening over and over and over. Vince definitely has earned the right to get the benefit of the doubt in these situations, because none of the incidents that have ever happened so far have been his fault. So technically hes the cleanest rider on the track! Some of the arguments on here..

Did he get black flagged in the main?

No, like someone else said above he just tangled with Wilson then walked off the track lol. I was there in person and didn’t catch what led up to it but the both came together after a bowl turn

he was looking at his hand/arm it looked like as he walked off

So he got sexton and hunter, then in the main he got mookie and kenny, then he finishes off his night with ending wilsons night??   Vince looked comfy last night.  Cant wait for more VF carnage as the season moves on!

Close, he ended his own night taking Deano and himself out... Deano finished, Friese did not.

Certified clown.

Race much!  😂😂Ive been an against freizes racecraft forever but if you’ve ever raced motocross you’d know that Hunter crossed Vince’s rear which had nothing to do with freeze everything to do with Hunter not lifting. You’d also know the first turn is open to anything. Ie it’s impossible to cut someone off in the first turn. It’s open territory. I pulled a holeshot from gate 40 at Mammoth and did the exact same thing as Vince except the guys lines I crossed all lifted and nobody complained. Don’t worry Hunter will be back

Stew name dropped Friese and the pitchforks came out. Vince rode clean, Hunter just got caught in a bad spot. That's racing

Lots of boneheaded comments in this thread. If you actually believe anything you typed Vince rides like an idiot always has. But he had nothing to do with Hunter going down. Hunter just needs to learn how to handle that factory power WTF happened to him in the lcq?  Gun shy!  He’ll figure it out can’t wait to se him and his bro mix it up

Sorry, but I didn’t see Vince do anything wrong. He executed his start perfectly, something everyone to the inside of him didn’t do. Had they, they’d have had inside leverage on him and he wouldn’t have had room to move to the right.

This series of screen grabs shows him out front down the start straight, putting him in control of the first corner.

Friese has a done a lot of dumb shit; this isn’t an example. A rider going for the inside of the corner when they have the holeshot (or close to it) happens in every race. Look at Kenny’s line - he did the same thing. Hunter got pinched and went down. It happens. Hunter not finding his way out of the LCQ is the real tragedy here.

It was a racing incident and not the dirtiest thing he's ever done, but if you are going to cut off 10 guys that far before the turn there's a good chance not everyone is going to see what's going on and carnage will happen.

At any rate the Lawrence bros now know that when they see a number 125 honda, McGrath he aint.

IMG 0864.jpeg?VersionId=0It’s funny how everything always seems to be back or white- it was a perfectly acceptable racing incident or Vince should be charged with attempted murder.
With that being said, I think that was a bonehead move which very easily could’ve also taken Vince down. Of course you can veer over on people if you’re ahead. The amount you can cut over is where I see a problem. Although discretion would’ve have to be used, there has to be a limit or else any time a rider had a wheel on anyone, it’d give them a right to take a hard right and clean the guy out next to them. If you’re legitimately cutting over on other riders, you shouldn’t be facing the haybales on the side of the track.

Dean should have put a heavy boot into the exhaust header and radiator of Vince's bike before riding off...

Just left his bike on the track and walks off after taking him and Deano out. So two or three incidents in the first race? Was there something with Karnow in the heat? You can argue about the start in the heat but no matter which side you're on, it's always this dude in the middle of something.
