Well we disagree again. Onlyfans is not a social media platform. It’s an online broker that sells 98% adult content. If that’s not considered “adult related” then I don’t know what is.

Reality? The reality is they’re an online adult content broker and therefore their sponsorship is “related to adult content” and this makes them ineligible per the rules until that wording is changed.

There are many examples of something being allowed, but not being promoted.

Onlyfans allows adult content, They tried to ban it and found out that was not going to work. Them just trying  to ban it, shows me that they want to be a content provider first. But be one that allows adult content like how the internet itself has a wide range of content. Not one that is just adult content.

They want to be a Walmart instead of just a gun shop, or just Liquor store.

What they want to be is irrelevant. Take a look at Wikipedia and read who founded OF, who owns it now, and where they came from. They know exactly what they’re doing.

Why do you think alcohol and cigarette sponsorship disappeared from sports?

It’s because the general public, and hence spectators, grass roots participants and in turn other corporate entities like factories and other major sponsors, decided that it was undesirable.

Whether or not a bunch of hardcore moto enthusiasts can justify a “porn” sponsor based on paywalls, proportion of content or any other spurious argument is irrelevant.  In the long run all that matters is what mum & dad families and other general public members think.

"Why do you think alcohol and cigarette sponsorship disappeared from sports?"

They didn't.

This is exactly what the AMA rule is about. This will not be allowed this year. Count on it.

In the not too distant future karnow will be a forgotten name.....but hey, as long as he got his 15 minutes of fame and the "railin ruts, nailin sluts" bros worshipped  him as a hero.   It was worth it to put a name of some porn chick on his bike.

You might want to read up on tobacco advertising laws and regulations in the US.

I'm sure that really hurts his feelings coming from a never-was on a forum.

Tobacco companies sponsor both the Mclaren and Ferrari F1 teams. Not saying I agree with it or that it’s legal but tobacco sponsorships definitely still exist in motorsports.

So we have two 12yo boys at home right now; my son who has no device of his own and gets to watch YouTube etc a few times a week, and his mate who got his first phone a few days ago for Christmas.
I asked them if they knew what OnlyFans was?
They looked at each other, sniggered and didn’t want to answer. But after reassuring them they weren’t in trouble, their answer was , and I’m paraphrasing: “it’s where girls that want to be models get their boobs and booties out”.

I think a sticker on a dirt bike is a storm in a tea cup.

Everybody knows what it is. Kids knew what cigarettes were too. The issue at hand is with the sport condoning it.

(Your point also drives home the fact that everyone knows OF is porn.)

Did You ask them where they learned about OnlyFans?  I bet it was at School.Kids are going to learn about much more crazy stuff from their classmates.

I don't think that You will  see any NEW images like the ones used as examples of Onlyfans/Logan promoting Porn .  I think that with the current rule , those images would get him in trouble. People and things  can change. If OF can play by the rules. Even if its kinda outside the spirit in a way, they should be allowed to support Logan and the sport.

I doubt that any kids are going to learn about Onlyfans from a logo on a dirtbike. Chances are they knew already. Its the adults that are learning about it. And the target audience for the website anyway.

I can understand not wanting to have things You find immoral or offensive or whatever, involved with a sport You love and want to be able to share with others and not be embarrassed by parts of it.  I try and see the good in everything, so I'm looking at what OF has said recently about trying to move away from the adult content , and I feel like its a great thing that they picked a sport like SX to help them.  When Logan first started off, his deal was different. It was with some of the creators. Now its with the company.

My experience with OnlyFans has been from hearing about some of the people on Youtube that do not make porn talk about going to Only Fans. And just like You can go to Walmart for healthy food, or Booze and cigs ,   Ammo for your AR or an air freshener for a car. I and many others could go to Onlyfans for content that is NOT porn. And as long as they have that type of content too, and promote it  in supercross then they are working inside the rules.

Absolutely not… parents establish morals and ethics at home. period, end of story. If one as above has a 12 yo that knows what OF and can explain it in that detail… that’s a parental issue not an advertising in the big bad world issue.

I had my 5yo son on my shoulders going through walking street in pattaya thailand. He loved it, and there were tons of japanese tourist there with the whole family too all having a good time! He is 11 now and when we go to europe this summer we will go to red light districts in amsterdam (like my dutch father did with my brother me) and germany. And no i don’t mean to bring him there for that you sick bastards but to expose him to things in the world so he had an understanding of it, its my job to make him a man no one else!

That being said anyone, including all politicians, members of the clergy, outraged church goers, and those outraged at the world trying to convince themselves they have the moral high ground claiming “it’s for the children” are lying sacks of shtuff, and know it!

Being outraged about a brand that has a link with erotic content, because that is what it is. The brand won't show nude girls in the paddock, neither on the graphics of the bike, ... Going so much overboard that you throw LGBTQ+ and all those other stuff on the same pile. Some of you are so concerned about "your kids being groomed" that it sound like those Qanon wack jobs. At the same time you can't see that your children are groomed by advertising on TV and sponsorships in the big sports from the American Army who needs fresh flesh to the NRA and "fantasy sports" what soon becomes real gambling. Same with those "hard seltzers", it doesn't taste as alcohol but hits like alcohol, sounds perfect for a young, very young demographic.

About "adult" industry brands getting into sport. Playboy has been a MotoGP sponsor and has done it too at DTM, Formule Racing and other forms of racing. Off course Playboy is a brand that has already a wider arsenal of products then only adult entertainment.

I’m not a fan or a hater. Doesn’t affect me and I like that they put money into the sport. Don’t need to consume the content on the platform to acknowledge that.

Always hilarious hearing/reading Europeans talk about the NRA. Anyone who references the NRA this day and age is only outing themselves. Laughing
