I can't afford it / it isn't worth it to me, therefore it's bad and shouldn't exist!

If it were $20 all the whiners would be lining up for it, so what you're left with is a market pricing people out of something and their envy coming out in very transparent ways.

I'm pretty sure Star offered it last year, so technically, he already has.

Who was the privateer that got in trouble for letting the fans rev his bike for a donation to his cause ? Too bad he got shut down. That was a cool fan experience for some.

It was an issue as I heard so it went away, but I'd be in for a grand or so.

No different than a team hospitality suite at the MotoGP/F1 ($$$$) or a corporate box at the football.

Why is it is ripoff just because it's motocross/supercross?

Edit:  I was in the Ducati suite one year at the Philip Island MotoGP via a work gig.  Apparently it was expensive af per head...but there was no meet and greet.

We did get one 2 minute pit  box tour and before we were guided in we were under strict instructions to literally not even make eye contact with the riders.

Was weird.

For such an expensive sport.. people act like the biggest tighta**es when it comes to watching or growing the sport.

Yet will go dump 2k on PW50 mods or 10K on aftermarket bike parts to line up and race C class.

I had the RacerX gas card the year it snowed in Utah. Ended up watching the race up in the booth. Loads of fun and a great weekend.

This thread has about as much logic to it as that trash privateer who let fans Rev his bike. No1 wants to hang out with a privateer and their shitbox van

Well...revving the bike is super lame but hanging out with a pro (even a privateer) on the biggest stage is pretty dang cool.

I have not looked at the Team credential  info for SX. But if it is the same as MX  ANY RIDER COULD DO IT and not be restricted from doing it by the rules.  Every Rider gets guest passes or the ability to purchase them.  The guys riding out of a sprinter van by themselves, just do not have people to handle that type of experience and or room.  The Factory teams PAY for their parking spots. Any privateer that had the money and wanted to , could buy a spot to park a hospitality rig .  Any guests a rider provides passes for are the responsibility of that racer and if that guest did something dumb , it could come back on the rider who got them the pass.

I don't understand why anybody would be mad about it. Fans can still go wait inline and meet Jett and Hunter like they could before. It just adds an extra access option. And They have to pay people to handle everything that is involved in doing it. I think its awesome that anybody who is willing to pay, can go and experience stuff like that. I rented my RV to an MXON team in 2007 and it was such a cool time being around to watch everything. These types of programs give almost anybody the chance of getting to be close to some cool stuff. And possible see some moto history from a more inside point of view.

What the hell would be the purpose of this?  He’s not evening racing either of them this year.

That's the issue.     The catering to big spenders eventually pushes little guy out.      Then it becomes a dick measuring contest on who has the most luxurious package.

Do we want the sport to become like the NFL...a bloated joke of a sport?

I put this in the other thread of the same topic:   Example:  Went to the Long Beach Gran Prix about 15 years ago.   Everything was expensive package deals.   It's not that we couldn't afford it, we just wanted to watch the racing without all the hospitality crap and walk around to various locations.

Gotta pay to play.   Plenty choices ,watch at home, or just go enjoy the races and the pits.

"Catering to big spenders" is called market capitalism, the free enterprise system.  Get over it.

Years ago when JT$ did this for Butler…?

The people that paid for the experience seemed to REALLY enjoy the time they spent with the team.

And that’s all I’ve got to say about that.

Yep.  I did REALLY enjoy it with JT at Muddy Creek, but it was nowhere close to this cost level.  That said, if the market bears it, that is awesome and Feld, the riders, and those doing the work should benefit from it.  If this is a success, it will do nothing by elevate professionalism for the sport overall.

Magoofan, it is what it is and if you want terrific streaming coverage, better payouts for riders, and continued support from manufacturers......it has to make financial sense and we have to grow to do that.  You can still go to a SX race for far less than $100 a person and pit access with a energy drink can...and that's a great value.
