Honestly its wild. How at 40 hes done with moto and bikes in general.
sick that he pulled it off after being injured the same dang day.
of all people who need documentarys… he needs one from troy adamantis and they should go into detail about every one of his injuries.. it would be super interesting
all with a broken hand and 40...
That thing is going to claim a life.
We are lucky enough to watch a living legend and all that he does to earn that title.

A documentary that went into detail about all of his injuries would be 6 hours long. Hell, even if they didn't go into details, it'd still probably be 3 hours.
The Whiskey Throttle episode was basically that, it was a really good listen.
Seeing snapped front ends and then you watch the frame/fork flex on the front flip, hopefully they retire that bike!
That dude that hit his head on the pit bike had to be hurting bad.
We started “working on” this trick back in 2017 filming for action figures 2. I thought it was crazy back then and still do today. You can simply never count Travis out… he’s always gonna surprise you and make the impossible possible.
199 Lives was good, it’s on YouTube in parts
Once he gets his replacement parts, he will most likely be back to being Travis, but I must say I truly fear for that man's life.
How does the story go? You are born with a bucket of luck and empty bucket of skill and every time you take a luck out of the lucky bucket and put it in the skill bucket if you go in the luck bucket eventually it goes empty. I hope he lives to an old age while still having something in the luck bucket.
Back on topic, it's stupid how effortless he made something so mental look.
Travis will never not impress me at the things he has done and the limits he has pushed. He has been pushing limits and doing crazy shit on a dirtbike for 25+ years after this:
He has had so many crazy injuries. Dude is just built differently. The fact he can even walk and get around after the injuries he has had is remarkable. But he's still out there trying to see what's possible.
So grateful to witness a legend. I'll never forget watching him pull the double back on live TV when I was a kid. Thank the Lord for keeping him alive after everything he's done...
I met Trav at pleasure valley when we were kids. Crossed paths while I was at college, and was fortunate enough to hang at his house when I worked in metro DC area. The stuff seen there on a regular day was mind boggling (think pre front flip era). Some things were down right spooky- and glad I was able to witness it first hand. He’d open his doors to anyone who wanted to push themselves. Such a nice family, and so generous. Just hope he continues defying logic!!!
He already has a documentary but they could make another one about all the things he has done since this was filmed 😂
The kid at the 11'ish minute mark hitting the backflip on the pit bike was cool, but somehow didnt break his neck on the 2nd attempt . YIKES that was dumb.
Travis is a legend!
I hafta say, I grew up watching Evel Knievel do his jumps and there are only two times since then I felt the same rush as I did watching Evel, first was watching Maddo hit that Arc de Triomphe roof jump/drop and then Travis' double back flip. Both were like, daaaamn !
Ain't no way Travis is slowing down- it's a compulsion beyond his control.
Pit Row
The night Travis pulled the double was one of the coolest moments in all of extreme sports history.
Just to say that TP is also considered as the goat or at least a legend in france/europe too. What a maniac LOL !
There are people who say freestyle motocross is boring and there will be no more progression.
Then there is Travis.
If I remember correctly, Travis was racing people down the hallway in his wheelchair and trying to jump the chair down a set of stairs.
This is the same guy who jumped out of an airplane without a parachute, who survived a failed base jump, who survived multiple car crashes that could have easily killed him, who backflipped the tiny finish line jump in Daytona, on and on. But he's the same guy who has been first to do many FMX tricks (360, double back, TP Roll....), won in Motocross, Supercross, WRC, Rallycross, ROC, etc. The guy who has built multiple successful brands and empires.
Nothing surprises me anymore. He might take a bit of a break after this surgery but mark my words, when his kids are independent and on their own, he'll come back to try his hand at how many things he can be the "oldest person to ever...".
Unreal. TP199 continues to be an inspiration. A living legend
TP199 is a true living legend.
When my daughter gets old enough, I will speak to her about the legend they call Pastrana
That's what I was thinking too. As soon as those new parts are all working good and some time goes by he'll be back. In the meantime him and James in the booth for SX would be cool
Pure legend...
I remember when I confused Jeff Pestana and Travis when reading articles way back when. I did that maybe twice. Say the names Travis, Jeremy, or Ricky, and anyone with even limited moto knowledge will know who you're talking about.
Went to his house to watch sheehan do the first triple backflip live, both of those guys were super cool and friendly
Travis has haters?? Who's going to question Travis Pastrana? Just an unreal talent.. I still can't get over how casually he deals with broken bones.
Yep, gave me goosebumps.
Post a reply to: Pastrana's FINAL SEND!!!! 😲😳
