Ahhh...the old engine vs motor debate.
E-bike AND neck brace.....some of these cats heads just exploded
they are just a starter motor... Are they regulated? I wouldn't think so, they aren't required according to Suzuki so....
I don’t think it’s a good comparison. Millville was worked deep. The electric bike has more hp. The 350 is basically a dr,s bike mellow soft low end soft hit. Basically a dull engine to ride. Put the stark on 40hp the DBP will destroy it. No offense to Alex but why does everyone that rides one look like a massive dork. Check out best of 125 emx. There’s a 125 Gas gas that sounds so unique & wicked wo to dropping rpm to building rpm.

I like being a dork.
“Make the bike have as much hp as a built 125 and a 350 will be faster” hot take bro
If a golf cart from the 70,s can be quiet. Why can’t the stark ? That high pitch electric scream drives me nuts. Animals really hate that. I see peta getting involved & banning them except for indoor riding. Now the wild life especially the white tail deer. Just Love the sound of The DBP cr125. They turn there head & get a look of extreme joy & fulfillment. Then take steps closer to get a better view. Like what is that ? Lol
Bro, you should not drink and post at the same time.....
It ain’t just drinking…
Not surprised a 350 felt "labored" with a scoop tire. A 450 would be a different story.
Also, being a geek for details, anyone else notice the fork legs weren't the same height on the Varg? Come on man. Simple shit!
Hahah, you are really watching closely...and at high resolution
Correct! Nothing will happen until Honda jumps on board.
At that point the technology race will take off. I "may" consider a Stark once the 2nd generation comes out with a longer battery life and the small bugs (as with anything new) are worked out.
What I am saying is, the time made up on the straights is literally all power and zero rider skill. Its a point and shoot bike to make up time. Go watch a few GoPros of guys racing, literally the only way they make up time is when they get to the straights...cheater bike.
It's the same guy riding the bikes of fucking course the time made up is the bike. That's the only variable here. The bike.
And it isn't just horsepower. Maybe the Stark is putting the power down better, gets better traction. What do you want? An electric bike that'll put rails down on the track so you can corner like a slot car? Maybe add some wings and a propeller to fly over whoop sections? What the hell do you expect from a change in power plants except a difference in straight line speed.
Going fast is cool but getting off at those speeds will change you attitude real fast. Going to be a lot of lightly used vargs for sale. Same story for 500's in the '80's-'90's.
So then if everyone was racing a stark in a race for starks then the corner speed would decide lap times. Wait….🤔
Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner.
I suspect the wizards will come up with whatever the bike needs to handle better in the corners.
I guess it makes sense that more power would equal a faster bike. But a faster bike will not always equal faster lap times.
Just about every review I've heard, watched or read, they all rave about how easy the bike is to corner with. Alex was also saying that the bike handled very well too.
Do You think if he adds 12HP ( that would get the 2 bikes even HP wise) to the Gasgas he drops more than 2 seconds off his time?
I think it is more of the style of power that electric has, that makes the bike faster. It allows a rider to be smoother on the throttle than a bike with raw tire spinning HP. I would love to see somebody dyno each bike, and tune the Varg to have the same peak HP as whatever Gas bike. And then see what happens laptimewise. I bet the Varg is still faster with HP equal . I think that running it against a 450 would be more fair even with matching HP levels.
Pit Row
What "straights" are you talking about? Has Millville been transformed into a replica of the Springfield Mile without my knowledge? I thought that place was hilly and had challenging obstacles. Shows how little I know. I'm so dumb I didn't even know there were places on that track that required "zero rider skill" and were merely "point and shoot." You know what - you should race the national there. I mean, why the hell not? You seem to have that loop sussed.
And when you get whiskey throttle at 80hp and no clutch or gear to limit top speed what happens?
Gator pits on the backside of every berm... they'll learn or they won't.
Are you implying whiskey throttle is safe on ICE bikes...
Wow throw some logic with facts in the thread and the “don’t take my ICE” crowd runs away looking for more talking points to rattle the cages I see.
🤡🤡
If we just say electric bikes are better and E bike owners are better humans, we can stop the nonsense.
It would be unfair to some of our very own Vital members to leave out that they are more educated as well (his words, not mine). I acknowledge our friend greatlakeskind was fishing here, but your comment was missing one key ingredient.

That didn't look like a whiskey -- downsided the jump. Looked like the bike stood up too easily, like Alex said was unnerving in first video.

I was thinking that also....but did not want to make that leap.....
