Brembo,

yes, the seats have a pretty solid foam.

Wasn’t saying you were wrong. It’s a slow day at work so i feel like BSing. I’m just tired of people (and you didn’t say this) that oh it’s a red KTM or it’s just a black KTM. Everyone had to copy a little of what they did to stay with the times. Aside from Yamaha which I’m sure is coming and Suzuki everyone else went To hydraulic clutch. Estart is standard on everything except Suzuki. Not here to argue. Just talking moto.

Beta, old gas gas (rieju), and even sherco off road bikes all looked eerily similar to KTM's in recent years. Different color KTM's, no. But its hard to argue that these brands weren't manufactured with eyes on a ktm

2018-19 GG and current Rieju frames, swingarm, and radiators are made by WP (part of the Pierer Mobility Group). Rieju specifies features and geometries for these items.  Although they are very similar, they are not the same (technically). Beta frames in the later "2000 teens" were also made by WP and my 2017 Beta 480 frame was very close to my 2018 GG frame. I don't know for sure but the owner of an aftermarket product company told me that the Sherco was pretty much the same as the Beta/legacy GG with regards to some products.

Once again, even though WP makes parts for other manufacturers, it does not mean they are exactly the same.  It's a smart idea for some of these smaller manufacturers to outsource parts like frames, brakes, and suspension.

Does the radiator shroud plastics on this old beta not look similar to the husaberg and 2014/15 husqvarna? Pretty crazy the overlap and evolution of parts between the models. Yes i understand the engines are made in house and had some extreme evolution over the last few years. But to say that the current beta frame has nothing to do with last gen ktm is outrageous

The shrouds on the RR 525 Enduro look like an older KXF.

I do want to see what the dyno chart looks like.  Beta has a knack for peak power over a very wide RPM range.  That's where the 'Rideability" comes from.  Will it be "enough" HP?  Will the pros like it?  I think the weekend warriors will...

Making enough HP with the 450 will not be an issue. The trick to 450's is making it manageable. The 250 4 stroke is were the battleground will be.

I haven’t got to ride it much, nursing a bad knee.  Sucks to get old.

Maybe not for everybody, but as a 300 RX comes out of the box.  It was very hard for me to ride.  In the sunshine mode with factory PV settings it hits like a freight train.  I’m convinced every magazine test down played the wicked two stroke hit of a 300 RX.  I made about 20 ft, stopped and put in the rain mode.  Made one lap and backed PV adjustment out as far as I could.  Which made it easier to ride.  Once I made it home called my dealer buddy and told him I went to the track.  He laughed and said it hits like 500 doesn’t it, I said yep!

I ordered the PV spring kit and swapped factory spring for green spring.  Took it to the track yesterday.  With green PV spring in rain mode it’s much easier and fun to ride.  I’d guess it kinda like a YZ, maybe a little more crisp.   I won’t say it’s 4 stroke like now but somewhat 4 stroke like.  The PV adjustment is a good feature.

I plan to drop down two teeth in the rear and see if I can make first gear more usable.  Even at 40 to 1 break in premix it runs and idles better than any 2 stroke I ever owned.  I swapped the factory rear shock spring for a heavier spring, I’m a big guy.  Set sag at 104 with no gear, turns and soaks up bumps good.  Beta makes a good scooter.  I’m going to like this Beta.  Once I get broke in may go to heavier front springs.  Trying to shed a few pounds lol!

That's interesting to hear. My 21 300RE is fairly linear in power thru the RPM's.

Has a bit of a stronger pull mid way through up top, but not like some of the older 2 strokes I've ridden at all.

I know there are some minor differences on the motor between the RR/REs and the RX, but wouldn't think it'd be that significant.

You guys are talking in such fucking circles trying to prove your point that I can't keep up.

Lol, I was feeling a little stupid trying to read that shit, glad I wasn't alone.

Dealer I’m friends with told me few weeks back delivery was pushed to January, Texas.  Thats all he knew at the time.  I haven’t spoken to him since then.  I may call or text him this week and see if he has an update just for grins.   The 450 RX’s he has on order all have deposits down on them.  I doubt I’ll see one on a show room. I bet we don’t see any first tests for lack of better terms till Feb, March.

Yeah, I think there's been a "slight" confusion.

The intern smokes too much pot.

Well, the eagle has landed. Can't wait to take her to LACR on Saturday.

If I’ve responded to this post twice I claim old age.

The 300 RX is snappy and Smokin fast.  It hits hard.  It’s kinda like a really mean YZ and KTM had a baby.  I had to swap to green PV spring, crank PV adjustment in and run in rain mode.  Even slightly neutered it’s still a handful and a little bit hard for me to ride to ride on some MX tracks.   It’s really fun and easy to ride on a non technical single track like the safari trail at 3 Palms.  Or the Woods track 3P, it’s easy.

I just came back from Ultimate MX a few minutes ago.  I wouldn’t say it’s a difficult track but it’s the real deal as far as MX tracks go.  My 4 stroke is easier to ride at Ultimate Mx as example, but my RX is more fun to ride.

Couple weeks back I let a guy I kinda know make a lap on the woods track at 3P.  He came back after one lap with eyes as big as 50 cent pieces and said it’s crazy fast.  He was riding a 23 Husqvarna 250 TC two stroke, he knew what a fast bike was like.

Beta makes a good scooter.

Funny how perspective can sway ride reviews.

I found the 300rx to be extremely tame in terms of big bore 2 strokes. Very very rideable and less snappy than any 250 2 stroke I’ve ridden/owned. It was borderline offroad-ish. But super useable. I prefer that bike in every way to my 23 300sx.

as for the 450 RX, I’ve been keeping close eyes on forums and facebook groups and have seen 2 things repeated a lot. One is how rideable the bike is, and 2 is they seem to have an electrical issue potentially related to water entry. But if it has the issue it cuts out big time from mid to high RPM.

Just a few things. Both lower engine mounts came loose immediately. Battery died (while riding at about 5 hours). Muffler guard came loose and fell off once, then it broke off. Ended up cutting the tabs off cause they were cutting into my boot. Just got the bike back from the dealer after the right side radiator blew a hole right behind one of the horizontal braces on the fin. Beta warrantied this but still a hassle. I own a 2020. 390rrs, 2022 300rx and those have all been issue free. Probably just some teething issues.

The 300rx gets my interest for my new MX bike, a bit of off road too.
Do they pull good starts people on them?

My son rode one the other day. He liked it. Motor was easy to ride and he was pretty happy with how the chassis worked. He felt the suspension was a little on the soft side for him but no harder that he rides anymore it worked fine.
