I don't want to buy a pair or anything, just wondering if any of them have made it this far. I remember the hot setup was to trim down the top front part that covered your knees. Why? We never knew or cared why, just that Hannah did that to his. No need for questions, right? Just get out the hacksaw on your brand new boots and start carving!!
Dang plastic does not last like leather...my Scott boots got chucked years ago.
Most did not like them, I thought they were great.
I loved those boots[/color:c6bff]

of them fell apart. I couldn't find any new ones. I think I ended up
giving the boots away.
It would jerk the toe section out of it's hinge and you would have to ride the rest of the moto with your toes curled up and your foot in the strangest position.
They took a little while. At first I kept hitting the back brake
without knowing it, but I got used to them after a while.
We used to race a few 3 to 5 hour enduro's/cross countries as well.
They were great for that. You didn't have to worry about sticks or
logs hitting you in the legs.
LOL!, I wore the Hallman/M Robert's, damn bootie fell apart too, they were slipperier than cat shit during break in...
still got mine trimmed the top to clear knee pads...great protection in Baja!
And, this post is from 2006? Really?
Have a pair for display in my museum/family room.
Thanks for bringing this old post back to life and welcome to Vital! It's nice to see some old posts highlighted so the topic can be revisited. A riding friend still has Scott boots and they still look good. He was not much of a fan with the boot for MX but it did work for him. I used the MXL boots in eastern hare scrambles and thought they were "okay" but they really saved my feet a bunch of times! I think they may be floating around my parents house as I don't recall throwing any of my old stuff away.
Pit Row
Best boots ever, only took me one ride to get use to them and have had several pairs, wish they still made them. Had to trim the top on first set because when walking they would dig into my knee pads but different knee pads fixed that problem.

Donated mine to a Alberta vintage Mx fundraiser (raise funds send team to Britain for vintage meet) about ten years ago.
Don't have the boots but.... still have the knee surgery scars . I know there will be some who say the boots never caused knee injuries. They'll never convince me.
Still have both pairs and the box somewhere
All I have is the box they came in, for storing my old posters and stuff.
