I was at my first race in years last weekend at Byron Illinois. It was at the Racer X Vet series (old guys on modern bikes). Nearly everybody was on 4 strokes. To me it sounded like a tractor pull out there. The soul was just gone. Is there something missing or is it just me?

You were right, he did remember those photos. He told me he met your dad, Jack Peeples at a Trans-am race and that your dad invited them to your house. He remembers a large grass lawn and riding his works Suzuki like a speedway bike on the lawn. That must have been quite a site. HaHaHa! Joel also told me...

I was 18 years old. I loaded up my 1975 YZ250, and drove my 1972 Chevy van out to Southern California by myself to race with the big boys. What an adventure that was.
