print this, put it on the wall, and we'll all point at it in about 3 years. the man speaks truth.
Local dealership was doing demos today with two Vargs at one of our district tracks.
I was honestly shocked how good it is. Its easier to ride than any ICE bike I've ever jumped on. For all the concerns people had I didnt notice the weight and I ride a 350sxf which is pretty light for a dirtbike. They handle like a dream especially in deep rutted corners. They didnt have a rear brake foot lever and that took a few laps to get used to.
The battery life I still feel was disappointing though. If they can get that improved I dont see how these bikes arent the future.
Two strokes have continued to improve, thanks to Ktm, and have found their niche in offroad racing.
vet rider managed to get 20 minutes training, 10 minute qualifier and then 15 minutes in the heat before the power cut out.
couldnt recharge before the final race so he started with 55% battery, rode it at 60hp, so 45 minutes in total

Woah, how amazing.
No it won't. They already have the ability to set a power level with a 24 hour lock. 450's are overpowered and factory riders already detune what they are capable of.....and the pros who have ridden the Stark have clarified 80hp is basically unusable. The 450 class can just become Open and that solves it.

We had one racing at the British Supermoto Championship at the weekend, full Ohlins and Cobra twin discs, did one race and got spat off it in the second, in tricky conditions, to be fair.
It looked awkward to ride,
Off the topic, currently run in Australia was the world solar race, experimental carts, drive systems and BATTERIES, from different country entrants from all over the world. Some interesting stuff indeed.
Current AMA rules have them not allowed to race with gas bikes. A few promoters are allowing them in open classes under their supplemental rules.
I'm wondering what happens after Trey Canard wins on the Honda. I think he'll win.
Personally I'm OK with electric and it seems like it will have a future in this sport, but I really hope they make separate classes for them.
I think they should have done the same with 2 stroke/4 stroke
Where would we be right now as a sport if they had kept at least 125 two stroke Classes and ran 250f classes on their own separately?
Oooooh hellooooo there thief!!!!
Come back looking to see who else’s kindness you can take advantage of?
Guess I’ll bump my thread about you in non moto.
Last week Natanael Bres finished second in Master MX1 Auvergne Rhône Alpes Regional League on the Varg.
It was qualifying in the morning (3rd) then in the afternoon heat 1 (win) and heat 2 (2nd, 8 s from win). Interestingly the 2 races were 22 min and 25 min long, respectively, and he's no slouch (he raced a few GPs and got a couple top 20 finishes in MX2).
So the range seems plenty enough for most amateur or regional/state leagues MX. Probably harder in sand and some other conditions. Expect to see more Vargs in these competitions next year so we'll see about that then.
Great for its own class or local riding. Quiet for woods and around neighbors. But I have zero desire to see a national full of them or sx.
That's quite interesting to see this post by FIM WSX right after Trey Canard race on the Honda CRE in Japan
Anton and Adam, a match made in heaven.
Another national championship, another podium for the Varg.
Jorge Zaragoza is competing at Finnish SX Tampere on the Stark Varg, he qualified 5th, got a win and a third in the heats, then 3rd in Friday finale behind Harris Kullas and Jere Haavisto.
My Finnish is a bit rusty, did not find too much infos, I'm assuming he was restricted to 60 hp to compete against the 450s but not sure about that.
How do you say holeshot for the Varg in Finnish?

An American benchmark there is Chase Marquier, top15-20 rider in AMA SX who finished 4th after a fall in Friday finale but was never a threat for the win.
On Saturday, Zaragoza on the Varg got 6th time in qualifying, won both of his heats and in the final race finished again 3rd, this time behind Harris Kullas and Cade Clason.
He also got to the H2H finale that he lost against Kullas.
Solid results by another rider on the Varg, and unlike SX tour, there were some AMA regulars racing which helps to gauge the level of the competition.

3rd on Friday, 3rd on Saturday, SX Tampere was run on 2 days
Interestingly Kullas race winning time for main events was the same on Friday and Saturday and Zaragoza got 3rd on both days but he improved his race time by 20 s!
Kullas came from last to win Saturday if im correct.
Yes looking at the lap chart, looks like it, he was lapping crazy fast all laps, you cannot see time lost overtaking, got the lead at the penultimate lap.
Yep. Kullas crashed in first turn and had to come from behind. It was amazing ride as the track was so short. As far the Stark Vargs went, I don’t think there was any restrictions on power. Track is super tacky and electric bike’s smooth power delivery was definitely an advantage. In the whoops both Stark Vargs looked have disadvantage because there is no gyro effect. Zaragoza seemed to get tired and/or arm pump both days in the finals as he faded towards the end of the motos.
On related note, I have ridden the Varg both on sand track and muddy supercross style track and while in sand track I (46yo vet rider) definitely wanted full power (claimed 80hp), on muddy supercrossy style track 64hp was much easier. On our home track I actually adjusted the power so I could pin it full ”throttle” from the corner and clear the biggest jump just perfectly.
Anyways I hope they really take their time to figure out how to combine ICE and electric in top level (AMA, MXGP), because I feel the electric ones are likely to get much better in next five years.

The Stark looked absolutely amazing under Zaragoza. The starts, the ease he cleared all the obstacles with it. It truly did show the strenghts that the bike has at a tight AX style track.
It impressed me and surpassed my already high expectations.
Great slow mo of the start, thanks 👍
Zaragoza on the Stark finished 2nd overall after 2 days.
Could be just me, but when I read these E bike threads I think about the possibility of building an indoor track in an industrial area within Orange county. Seems like it could be a huge hit.
Thoughts?
Jorge Zaragoza is pretty happy with his first race weekend on the Varg.

I agree. I watched Zaragoza get block passed on Friday after the finish line, basically stop in the corner and still easily clear the triple on the next rhytm. I think it would've been really risky on a 450 and you would have had to stretch it out to make the triple with that little run for the lip. Really, really impressive.
