In Arkansas, laws protecting dealers are pretty stiff.  Dealers are allowed territories and if one encroaches on another in any way shape or form it can get pissy.   I've even had dealers butt heads because one showed up at a race outside their territory with a dealer logo on their pickup truck

On the Stark dealer map I've noticed their are no Stark dealers in Arkansas.

Yeah, it's been a few years since I played the Arkansas dealer game but last time I checked if a vehicle dealer was fed up with his franchise/product the company/distributor has "X" number of days to pick up all inventory/parts/tools and return the dealer any associated purchase cost.

Teddy Roosevelt would roll in his grave with the current enforcement of anti trust laws.

No, they aren't, some customers just chose to have their bike delivered to a dealer rather than their home.

When the dealer says give me your money and I will get you are bike by the end of the year if it’s not selling what is it?

Maybe Stark has fixed the  issue with production and plans on having all of the pre orders delivered before then?  If Stark gets the line running at the speeds they say it can run at max speed. They will catch up quickly.

Until dealers are delivering bikes that were ordered by a customer at a dealer, they are not doing what You said.

Its the having the bike in Your hands part.

And so far there are not any dealers that You can walk out of with a Varg that You ordered from the dealer.

So because one dealer said that (probably lying) you're extrapolating that anecdotal story to the entire dealer network?  The bottom line is you don't know jack shit yet paradoxically you feel compelled to come into this thread continuously and spout bullshit that isn't true, which does nothing but confuse people further.  It would be a hell of a lot easier to get a handle on the situation and figure out what's actually going on without the made up garbage being passed on with unwarranted conviction.

It's not one dealer. I got told the same thing a couple weeks ago but it was a November delivery. The man was very nice and explained the process in detail. I have no reason to doubt him.

Evidently it's you who don't know jack shit.

So you expect me to believe that you called a dealer inquiring about a Stark and had an actual adult conversation with them about it, showing intent to actually purchasing the bike?  Based on the incredible display of maturity and ability to handle yourself that you've shown throughout this thread?  I'll take bullshit story that never happened for $200 Alex. . .

I'll take the bait, you do have an uncanny ability to doubt any claim or fact coming from Stark (like are these bikes lined up at the factory photoshopped or whatever nonsense), to question the integrity of anyone giving thumbs up to the Varg (like the vast majority of journos, pro riders, bloggers or basically anyone who tried it, really) while at the same time exhibiting blind faith for a couple dealers who might have said they would have available Vargs in a couple of weeks.

You know what? You should buy it, hate it with all your might, and resell it with good profit when you get your bike next week or so.

No I expect you to believe I walked into the dealer and talked to him man to man. I also bought some bad ass FXR kit off him for 40% discount. FYI I never indicated any intent to purchase a bike either although he would have been more than happy to sell me one. He did say it required payment in full to start the process.

I'm sure a lot of people on here would love to know the name of the Dealer that they can go get a Varg from that quickly. I apologize if You already posted the name.

Some highlights for me are Stark continuous efforts in improving the software, with updates over the air you'll get the same product wether it's a 1st year or 3rd year bike. Now they're ironing all the bugs, following everything that can go wrong on any bike and correcting it in almost real time for all their customers.

Regarding the range he can ride a fast 30 min moto but obviously he's not at world championship level anymore. Still that should be plenty enough for the vast majority of customers (probably not as fast as old Seb) then chilling and charging the bike between motos.

Laptime wise, improvement going from ICE to the Varg will be significant for amateur riders because it's just easier to ride, to focus on your riding. On the contrary, for pros where everything is already wired and automatic, the lack of shifting does not really change anything.

Stark's goal is not to replace ICE but to grow the sport, to open it to more people with a bike easier to ride and more accessible tracks closer to towns.

They are preparing an official Stark team in which Seb will be involved. Right now he's with Thomas Do (SX2 wildcard, not ranked) at every round of the SX tour. They are waiting for FFM green light to go on as regular competitors for 2024 french championships. Following Do's great success (2 podiums) at the first 2024 round of Arenacross UK they will race the whole season (next round Manchester January 6th). After some successful testing with the Australian federation, Stark will compete in AusProMX and AuSX in 2024.

"You got to try the bike and make up your mind. That's the best way to judge this machine. There lots of rumors but until you hop on one you just don't know what it's like. And it doesn't have to please everyone."

True words.

The most interesting thing to "unpack" from Tortelli's itws is that he sounds just like Tom Cruise explaining how great scientology is.

I sure hope he's making good money.

And I sure hope you're on the payroll to. If not, it's pretty dramatic.

In your own words, "I admire your dedication to your task you poor soul".

Maybe call your dealer and ask instead of wasting your time in a losing argument ?

I doubt if the 2 dealers referenced here are the only ones who can get you a bike before all the pre-orders are filled.

Yes, lets drag this down to the gutter again because Stark has never done a single thing wrong according to you. No matter what happens the fanboys always justify. Your so good maybe you should be designing gear for FXR.

Never met the guy before either.

I had an imaginary conversation with another two imaginary dealers and they have Starks available as well. This is an outrage!

The fuk is going on in this picture?  My retina’s are burned but I am not sure from what, the gear or the bed spread.  Now I understand your frustration with anything cool, like the Stark Varg…

BINGO! Woohoo

Hell yeah, I had "questioning the integrity of anybody who likes a bike I don't like" on my bingo card.

Bonus points for disrespecting a world champion just because he is committed to improving a bike you decided you did not like without even trying it.

You know the pay is pretty decent, I mean now that Bryan is happily retired and just managing his hedge fund from the Caiman islands, obviously Sasquatch is the ring leader here but I'm still hoping I can overthrow him by posting interviews or other information that could interest some of the dirtbike enthusiasts here, that is if they're not too close-minded.

Obviously paying the other riders to get podiums in competition like they obviously did in Arenacross UK is going to become quite a budget next year for Stark when they'll race and score in more national championships so I'm going for the quick buck here. Don't forget to downvote so I can get my performance bonus at the end of the month.

The fuk is going on in this picture?  My retina’s are burned but I am not sure from what, the gear or the bed spread.  Now I understand your frustration with anything cool, like the Stark Varg…

Yeah it's so cool the customers don't mind the shim job.

like the shim job you got for paying anything over 1 cent for either item in your picture?  I know you are a smart man, but you got fucked, just not exactly sure how bad on each.

The best part, taking his story at face value, is that he still hasn’t figured out that the dealer he believes gave him a deal on gear just offloaded an ugly colorway from last year on him that they couldn’t convince anyone else to buy at retail.Laughing  I’m not surprised at all this dealer convinced him they could get him a bike next month, once he fell for that it was fair game to convince him of anything.  The lack of self awareness from someone who just got played like a fiddle is pretty amusing, factor in the irony of everything he’s said in various Stark threads and it’s elevated to pure internet gold.

A pal has just had his delivery brought forward from Dec to Nov - they are definitely cranking up production. An outstanding achievement.

Well it arrived ahead of promise, yesterday.

First real one I have seen in the flesh . It really is beautifully designed and manufactured.

Unboxing, build up, charging and software was totally straightforward. 3 hours after we started, it was out on a flat track for a play.

No glitches, no software errors. Just top fun and got hugely positive reactions from everyone who saw it.
