I just wanna say how impressed I am with Tates progress. The kid is getting pretty fast. If youve been watching his channel he has been riding on a supercross track to prepare for Australin SX. Im a 30+ B rider and tate would whoop me! How cool is it that we watched Chad's career and now we get to watch him coach his son into the pros someday. In a handful of years we're gonna see Tate Reed on the gate at A1 and the Reed legacy continues. How rad is that!
I met Tate and his mom last year when I was back in North Carolina. Super polite young lad. I hope he does well and look forward to watching him progress.
I hope he remembers he is the luckiest boy in the world getting the opportunities he is getting. Most of us would give our left nut to get what he has
Truth. To have Chad Reed as your Dad…to keep you from developing bad habits, and to show you what works…and what doesn’t! Priceless!
Kind of reminds me of deegan when he was a lot younger. People would always been talking crap because he was fed with a silver spoon. You can have all the best resources and equipment,it’s what you do with that at the end of the day that matters. Still takes blood sweat and tears if you want to make it. I like that he’s not giving up and using everthing he has to make himself better. Momma bear don’t take no shit either. He may be the next champion

Just having his parents interested in him, and involved in his life puts him a leg up on most kids now days.
Seen Chad is on a 125 pushing Tate now. He’s going to get fast really quick. (Already has progressed a ton) fun to watch
I had a similar situation in high school. Guy couple years younger than me in baseball. Always went to the best training camps, new gear, etc. His parents weren’t Deegan rich but they have more than most.
His name is Justin Steele and he came damn close to winning the cy young last year.
Point is I never thought Deegan would do shit in this sport. Not bc he wasn’t talented, he simply didn’t need to. He could have made a good living from YouTube.
This sport is insanely dangerous it’s getting to stupid levels and the injuries are seriously life changing. For Deegan to just send it bc he loves it makes me a fan.
They seem to be avoiding the big races.
There not avoiding the big races there working towards it. Chad obviously knows what he is doing and they are building towards its. They have stated multiple times that this year is all about “gate drops gate drops gate drops”. They have only been all in for the last year and a half as that’s when Tate started showing serious interest. At the way Tate is progressing I can imagine you’ll see him on the gate at Loretta’s this year. Chad will play it smart and show him the ropes. Hence why he recently probably built the 125 cause it’s the closest to what Tate is on now and will help him get a feel for set up and help push Tate
The lucky one in all of this is Chad. He gets to share his life and passion with his family. Living the dream!
Tate looks way better on the 125 right away. He might have a similar mentality I had. Once you get off a small 85 and hop on a big bike you feel more comfortable and safe to go faster.
id give my left and right nut, maybe a couple fingers as well!
I thought we were supposed to hate kids with rich dads
I really enjoy watching the Youtube videos with them. Both parents are involved and no pressure on Pace or Kiah. Not sure how far Tate will go in the support but Chad seems like is great at teaching and coaching the kids.
Yeah, so are we gonna shit on anything and everything he does for his whole career and contribute all of his success to his rich daddy and YouTube Channel?
Asking for a friend.....
Nobody bats an eye when it’s a middle class family taking out a second mortgage on their house, good for Chad and his family passing on a portion of what he’s earned into his kids future.
Some parents would push their kid to take on $200k in student loans to get a degree that won’t take them far in a career and spend 10 years to pay them off.
This makes the most sense considering his passion and tools at his disposal 👍🏻
The square "root" of 22 is 4.69 so I'd love for Tate to run #469 🙂
Remember Bob Hannah saying if his parents were wealthy he never would have had the desire to become a champion. Hats off to the parents who instill good values into their children rich or poor. It's our most important duty as a parent in my opinion
Pit Row
Every kid that’s dad rode, grew up wanting to be faster than their dad. Whole other world when your Dad is Chad Reed!
Love their channel, loaded with insight and it gets passed off as no big deal. Tate is doing great, but I seem to be more and more impressed with Kiah's work effort. A lot of attention on Tate, but there she is grinding away getting better and better. Pace could have had it the easiest being that he was still on 50's when this moto kick happened, but all kids are different.
I like that they are putting these videos out there. They certainly do not have to do that. Im sure it helps remain relevant with sponsors
I'm sure it's the only reason they have sponsors...well, that and Chad being their dad. It ain't like the sponsors are signing on for race results.
Thought you were a factory kid
As a longtime Reed fan. There's one thing I know for sure. Chad can negotiate the hell out of a sponsor or contract signing.
I’m sure we will if the Reeds start to display the narcissism that the Deegans did.
If they stay humble, people will love them.
Watch how I do it son
Aren't they doing exactly that by having a YouTube channel?
Having a YT channel doesn’t make someone a narcissist, how they convey themselves does.
Been watching them for a few years now, Tate has the skill that's not the problem, as Chad has mentioned multiple times he currently lacks aggression and is way too nice on the track.
I’m not sure how any moto fan can downvote that photo?! I can hear it.
There's always the lunatic fringe element lurking in social settings 🥴
