Very sad. My heart goes out to his family.
Stay away from the RX comments. What an inconsiderate disrespectful bunch. There are likely more, not gonna look. Any speculation or mention of cause just shouldn't be had or made, period. Have some respect for the family for crying out loud. If they want to, they will tell when and if ready. In the meantime, it's nobody elses business. Nobodys. At all.
He put in some pretty good results. Pretty sure he led a 450 national once. Where was that?

RIP
We all know the stories, but I always thought it was really cool that Jeff posted here and enjoyed his perspective. I also met Tony once and he was as nice as could be. Best wishes to all the friends and family of the Alessi's.

Yeah, everyone IS wondering, but there is a reason only a couple of you are digging for it on a public forum where his family can read. It's called common decency.
Time and place.
Man....he was just posting here.
I met Jeff and Mike in STL around 2007. I've always liked them and have good memories both of them being down to earth. My heart goes out to the family.
I agree, no need for speculation gentlemen. I'm sure a report will be out soon enough. Let's all celebrate his life here instead!
RIP
I just did some cleaning. If anyone wants to be disrespectful, I will perma-ban you.
This is not the time or place for speculation on his passing, it's for people to pass on their messages and mourning.
God this sucks...
RIP Jeff.
RIP Jeff Alessi. Condolences to the Alessi family. This is such sad news.
The man should not be defined by a couple silly things he did half a lifetime ago. Every time I caught up with him here, he was self deprecating, and seemed willing to chat with anyone. His actual knowledge of the sport was quite amazing, and he remembered many details when reminiscing. Wondering how Jeff passed is normal, but this is not the place to make those inquiries. The details will be revealed soon enough. Rest In Peace Jeff, and my sincere condolences to the Alessi family .
Jeff led the Unadilla National. We were at that race and he was looking really good out front but going downhill leading into the back section (right turn) he went wide off the course and crashed pretty hard on his CRF450.
I don't remember the exact year I think it was probably six years ago.
Very sad to hear about Jeff's passing he seemed like a good kid.
My condolences to his friends and family. I have a couple of friends who have lost their children and I can't even imagine what that would be like....😢
That is terrible, we were just ribbing each other about something stupid on here a few weeks ago
R.I.P man, that's too bad.
Way too young RIP.
That's terrible news.....so young.
As others have posted, horrible to be a parent having to bury a child....RIP Jeff
Thoughts and condolences to Tony, Mike and the family. No parent should have to lay their child to rest.
Damn, I used to get so hyped watching the Alessi segment on Fuel TV "inside the outdoors" back in the day.
RIP brother and may we all meet again on the other side!
Pit Row
Met him and Mike briefly at GH during a practice day when they were still on minis. They were very respectful and polite. Later that day they were playing w/toy trucks in the dirt with my boys.
Only had the pleasure of meeting Jeff twice. I'll remember him as a friendly guy who loved riding and being at the track with his family. I remember the smile on his face after a moto of jumping fences and ponds at their track in Hilliard. Thoughts and Prayers to Mike and Tony.
RIP Jeff, Shocked. Prayers to the family. He will be missed
This honestly bums me out, I spoke with him a few weeks ago about doing another ride day/training session with him. He was always cool with me. Talking about RC cars, Invited me to his gully training days earlier in the year, which was fun and i did learn some stuff. He just seemed real humble in person each time i chatted with him. He will be missed!
My condolences to the Alessi Family
RIP. Prayers to the family
God speed 801
Damn. Super sad. Always thought it was cool he’d come here on these boards to interact with us.
Heartbreaking. Grace and peace to the Alessis
Wow.. RIP #801.
He was an amazing mini riding coach to my nephew. This news is an absolute shock.
prayers to Alessi family.
Taken way too soon, feel for the parents having to deal with thi
RIP moto brother
He was posting here just a couple o days ago, what a total bummer.
Oh man, what a drag. I always liked the Alessis. They had all that stigma attached to them from the whole "Believe the Hype" stuff about Mike and it just seemed to stick to Jeff too. You can't deny that the brothers both gave their all on the track, though, and I respect them for that.
RIP, Jeff.
Never met any of the Alessi clan personally, but being in this moto life with them, cuts just as deep as if it was one of my own. A piece may be missing now, but the strength of the Alessi family to help each other through this will never waver.
