"Yep, I was able to get mine last November. It's the Ecoboost, XLT luxury trim package with FX4 and a few other options (spray in bed liner, tiedowns, etc.). I absolutely love the truck, have 6,000 miles on it now and have towed my bike/+ others to different tracks around PNW. This isn't the hybrid version but I average 26 mpg doing 50/50 city & highway, and 29-32mpg only highway with bike in back. Comfort is amazing for me, and the ecoboost with 250hp has plenty of pep to get up and go. Will easily fit 2 full size bikes in back with gear, I've seen some do 3 bikes on forums but that would be a tight fit. After visiting Australia and seeing all the trucks being driven there... it's kind of funny that we are just now seeing trucks like the Maverick come into the US market when nearly all the vehicles over in AUS are similar in size (Navara, Amarok, Hilux, etc)."
What color are you going to get?
Who buys a car sized "truck" when you own dirtbikes??? Insanity.
Miles per Gallon......is my reason

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
I don’t see it? I don’t think a full size bike fits.
You guys should see all the drama your "Yank Tanks" are causing over here.
The Karens are losing their minds over them.
Had one of those, a 1974 straight six with three on the tree, with bumper carriers. Worked fine until 1985 when I got a Datsun 720 pickup...with a 5 speed.
I'm still pissed that Ford recycled the Maverick name.
People who just haul dirt bikes
My FIL has one, nice grocery getter and like shown above can fit bikes. He doesn’t have the hybrid and is still getting 30 mpg. I didn’t mind driving it but he has the top of the line trim package and it still has hard plastic arm rest. Also don’t like the round drive selector thing, other than that I would drive it if given to me
Good timing on this thread… I just bought a Maverick (ecoboost) yesterday. The only reason I need a truck is to haul my dirt bike and do some light duty house work. I traded in my beloved ‘21 Sierra 1500 because I drive over 20,000+ miles a year and the 16.5 mpg was getting pretty old. It’s a bit of a downgrade (I friggen loved that Sierra), but I was all smiles on the way to work when I saw this:
My Dad had one of those .
It's no Ridgeline :-) But looks like it does the job - impressive MPG for sure
MSRP under $2000?
A Sawz-All is only $149...
I can make that bike fit.
Your killing me with Yank Tanks.
Does that mean our diesel long bed F250's are Mad Maxing over there and causing Supreme Karen melt downs?
FYI as a diesel long bed F250 owner I wish they would bring back an econo Ranger gasser truck that people could actually afford.
Yank Tank, you mean FREEDOM WAGONS? 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🤪
I’ve had 2 full size bikes and a JR50 in mine, we have bought this XL, a Hybrid and a tremor so far. Beat truck I’ve had in a long time for many reasons. Everything is rad except the rear seat doesn’t fold up.
Pit Row
Local dealer has a 2016 F150 with 86k for $34,000. Seems like a good reason to me
If you don't drive a F250 diesel with a body lift and low profile tires extended well out past the body constantly rolling coal you're just a low T beta male bro.
I get 22mpg with my f150 so the mpg wouldn’t be a huge thing for me personally but man the msrp sure looks nice on the mavericks
Almost pulled the trigger on one the other day strictly for the gas mileage. I like that they’re a little lower, makes loading/unloading bikes easy.
God I want one. Better than f350 diesel prices....
Not really relevant to the topic but I hadn't even heard of a Ford Maverick truck until I opened this thread.
Had one and loved it. Few downfalls though, other Maverick owner like to wave like Jeep owners do and it’s kinda a feminine truck.
It hauled 2 bikes just fine. I would leave my big toolbox at home and made a necessary tool kit to shove in the bed pocket. Not sure what engine I had- I think the 2.0 turbo which had the tow package. Every once in a while when my wife had the HD truck I would tow my 7x16 enclosed loaded with bikes and the truck actually towed it really well. Fuel mileage was decent and the truck actually hauled ass unloaded. The main reason i got rid of was I had a 6% interest rate and Toyota had a 0% on Tacomas.
Bet I could fit 3 bikes in the back of one of those bad Larry's. I'm in on Mavericks. Loading my bike into the Sierra is a pain in my a$%. I miss my S10
Edit: I have a mini-truck fetish... Majorly biased
Obviously this is super subjective to your needs. I have a need to go long distance for cheap since tracks suck by me, and I need to be able to sleep inside of the vehicle because I'm scared of skinwalkers and it gets cold at night in the fall. Like, 39 low 60 high at times. Great riding weather, not so great for sleeping. I also had a need for a cheap and fuel efficient car to drive everyday. I did not want to borrow money, I did not want to wait, and I did not want to pay for a truck up front. I also wanted a manual transmission.
This is what I came up with based on those needs. Moto-Camper car getting 33 mpg with trailer and 39 without for less than 6k all said and done (incl. trailer). Do with this information what you please lol.
Ha I had 2 of those in the 80,s. Hit a deer with 1 rt by a farm. He wanted the deer & said help me butcher it & I,ll give you a ride. 40 bucks for a radiator, header panel & hood from a junk yard. The 2nd 1 was in New Hampshire it had #8,s spray painted on like a nascar. Haha . I paid 50 or 100 bucks for it.
Post a reply to: Show me your Ford Maverick with a bike in the bed....
