Always have wanted to see a sx there or a USC game ? My biggest memory as a kid watching the Trojans or SX in that stadium.
Where's the math with Falcon guy to give us all the scenarios? It looks like if Kenny wins and Chase finishes 2nd then Chase still wins. If Kenny wins and Jett finishes second then Kenny wins by a point. Winner takes all between Chase and Jett.
I'm a fan of all three guys but would love to see Kenny take it. But.....if Kenny was winning with a huge lead with Jett in 2nd, Jett could "let Chase by" for 2nd place to give Team Honda/Chase the win.
Grew up going to so many L.A Coliseum races.... Wardy, Johnson, Glover, Bell...so many more. Still my favorite all time venue. Doesn't hurt that i got to race there in amateur SX day after the pros.
Wish I could have gone to this race....the dates did not work out.

The floor space is massive here, I wish all the other stadiums had this much room.
My wife and I are going and we are both super excited. I actually wanted to watch it on tv, but she convinced me to pull the trigger on tickets.

If Jett did that he'd be knocking himself back from 2nd overall in the title to 3rd and costing himself $250K.
If Jett did that he would be costing himself 100K, but could then collect 175K from Chase for gifting him the extra 350K from the 500K championship. 325K for both Jett and Chase in the end, win-win for both. With money on the line like this, a "let Chase by" could mean some extra coin for both riders.

That was f**kin awesome. Coombs nailed it...I only got to do amateur the day after...but you felt like superman going off that peristyle. I got a fraction of the air time the pros did...and I got my ass kicked on that day. BUT...."Part of history"....yeah baby.

Oakland is the same. Not sure what other options they have up there, but Anaheim is 45min away from the coliseum and in a much nicer/safer place.

Looks like they're making good time but I swear to GOD if they make this track a dumbed down version of the proposed track map again, the LA riots are gonna happen again!
One thing I noticed is that it looks like they're not selling any seats in the far end of the stadium. I guess I get it, though. The place seats like 75,000. Better for optics to make the place seem full even if those would be horrible seats. Ticket sales seem decent though.

I just know they are not going to make the big hills (at least not to the scale of the ones on the track map) after the over/under and before the sand section, but track still looks pretty exciting.
looks smaller than the usual SX area for the track?

It's actually quite a bit bigger! It's wider and much longer than a typical football stadium floor. You can see when they remove the portable bleacher section how much more room there is on the floor and the rounded sides add more width.
They even held a NASCAR Clash race there one time!
