Man....the Weege post race interview of Coop....he was NOT happy.      Did not lay blame on anyone but himself...true to form.   Sounds like he had some nerves and tightened up.     Also, track was certainly more "hybrid" than it looked per his account.

Hope to see him battling again.   When Coop is on, he's one of the best guys to watch.

I don’t know why this is even a topic of discussion but it was part of their negotiation/deal. Webb explained it a bit more in his long form interview during the broadcast. It was logical because if he/Star had said anything sooner, it would have been a breach of contract.

Then why are you discussing it other than to try and browbeat me like Don and make me look stupid? I am well aware it was in his parting agreement. I just don't see the benefit to KTM. Was it because they didn't want folks to know he had another deal before he walked? Was it because KTM was still paying him to ride a Yamaha? As you can now see it is indeed a valid discussion regardless if you think so or not. IN your infinite wisdom please tell vital why.

You do a fine job making yourself look silly, no outside assistance required.

The logical part of this discussion involves what Coop said himself. You asked why he waited until the day before the race, and you received a sound answer. Not sure what the benefit to KTM has to do with your questioning, other than sophistry.

It will be an another story on cookie cutter tracks with bowl turns. The track was not a favor for a comeback on a new bike especially for a non high speed specialist like Webb. Webb was where I expected.

What was the strap that was hanging off in the second moto, was he wearing some sort of neck protection? Or was it part of his chest protector?

It’s the strap that connects to the front on the side. It came undone and was dangling

I'm tired of this narrative that Webb is such a gnarly competitor, so determined, gritty etc.  If that were the case he wouldn't be in the habit of showing up to races out of shape, or not showing up at all. He is going to be smoked by Jett, Eli, and Sexton in every race next SX season.

I have said it before but my personal opinion is that Webb simply doesn't have the speed to compete.  Things have evolved and he is not evolving with them imo. Before he could play the fox games with Kenny and Eli but now... it is different when people can blow by you. I see him 3-7 guy this coming year.

I got attacked on Instagram for saying he'll never be a title contender in mx. Apparently it's the bike that's been holding him back all this time outdoors. And now that's he back on Blu Cru it's going to make all the difference.  He's crafty and gritty enough to stay in the fight in sx. He won't have the speed of Jett, Chase, and Eli of course

Yeah...you're right and all the top media guys and all time greats are wrong about Webb.

Troll.

2X SX champ against loaded fields...nearly 3X.   Held the red plate this year.       Some of the best come from behind clutch wins of all time.

As great as Eli is now....he was a head case for years.

The reports of Tomacs demise seem to have been premature.

Webb got his best results arenacross tight tracks without proper whoops where you cant pass and he got holeshot. He will setup new Yamaha for turning tight and whoops will be problem again. Outdoors he doenst have flow like Jett and Chase.

It's crazy to think that right now Star has 3 450 champions on their bike, when was the last time a team had that much talent, the 80's?

I'm no expert...but it might be that Cooper doesn't see himself as a guy that needs to be in superhuman shape to win. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with that at all, but he was pretty proud of himself when he literally came "off the couch" to race after an injury. Remember the cartoon he had painted on the rear of his helmet of him laying on a couch?

Correction, Aldon changed his whole 450 career. If not for Bakers Factory Webb wouldn't have been a supercross champion.

Yeah couldn't even beat his old teammates. Worst result without crashing since probably the last time on that rig, James called it a win though. They sure hype up those Monster energy teams

Two things come to mind for me.
1. I could care less what instagram has to say

2. Webb is a great talent no doubt. He has done well for himself and should be proud. In the end, I honestly just don’t see it happening for him. The amount of momentum that Chase, Kenny, and Jett are carrying is unreal. Kenny is the ? Only because he hasn’t raced all summer. Same bike as last year and he is happy with it? He will be really good this year

You can't count Tomac out, he's way better than Kenny.

What, they were blowing Webb in 10th place, James said him and the bike looked great lmao. Never said anything about Toms team or bike being good when he got the holeshot and was leading unlike anytime a bike with a monster energy logo is out front. They go wwe to anyone with the correct logo

I have faith in Webb for 2024 SX.  He can use SMX to wipe off the cobwebs and get back in race shape.
