We had Ezra Lusk on Winner's Take Y'all and the topic of winning on all 4 Japanese brands came up.  Who else besides Barry Higgins ( he did it on a Vespa, John Deere, a Boeing, and Conestoga Wagon) has done it????

I don’t think Lusk had a premier class win on Suzuki though, only in the 125 class?

I love this show, makes me laugh so much. You guys are ridiculous in the best way.

The story about burying the horse while ringing up Malcolm Stewart a few episodes ago is all time 🤣🤣

His Yamaha wins were on a 125, which poses the question; was Reed the only one to win in the premier class on all four Japanese brands?

Crazy that Reed is usually associated with Yamaha, but it’s the only brand he didn’t win an Outdoor overall on.

I know we are talking premier class but he did get one on the YZ250F.

True. Ironic that it was on the bike he hated.

He was so great in 04 MX though. It’s so overlooked. He had so many motos he went 2-2 well ahead of Windham in third who we know was also amazing. Just Carmichael was not human and was well ahead of him going 1-1.

I don't recall Reynard winning on anything later in his career when he rode Yamaha. He did win on factory kawi and primal honda/suzuki.

I stand corrected. Just looked through the vault. Reynard did not win on the Primal Honda, just kawasaki and Suzuki.  I could have sworn he won 125sx on the honda but also surprisingly he never won a single 125sx on any brand.

It’s a shame Reedy’s legacy won’t recognise how great an outdoor rider he really was.  Overshadowed by RC in the first half of the 2000’s.

Among his other achievements he placed 2nd in the 250 GP championship in 2001 and that year won the overall at Leirop of all places.

7 years later, an eternity in this sport and well past his prime (especially for MX) in 2011, he gave the Ryans (two other all time greats) all they could handle. That is very telling for me to show how amazing he and Carmichael were.

I don’t think Chad ever rode as well as he did that season before the Chadapault incident. Then that crash really took the wind out of his sails. Understandably.

He also lost his good Friend in a mx crash not long prior. Reedy had a lot going on that year

When did Reedy win on the Kawi, I thought he only rode it a few times due to injuries ?

Was it SX or MX?

98 was his best yr on a Suzuki. Unadilla ride was Awesome his greatest ride.  Great rides at Millville too. 98 at red Bud I was expecting another great ride, and he’s back in 18th. So strange how a rider can b that far off at another race.  His wins where dominate tho. But only 4 or 5 nationals wins.  At 16 he was a tiny kid. Then had alot of injuries.  I think he did great tho.

Add to that a great MXON moto.
