Just a heads up, USA’s MXoN team will not be annoucned today as originally scheduled. There are some hold ups with certain riders who could go that would be preferred, so it’s getting pushed off a bit to ensure we send the best team possible.
mmmmmm spicy
Wonder who is having a change of heart?
Who's got the tea?
That’s either bad or reallly good
Sexton, Anderson and Deegan... Which one or one's are thinking they want to go and just need to sort out the details???
Bummed that we don't get the team today, excited that they are still working on the best possible team.
I'm assuming it has to do with Sexton as he's the only one that will be with a new team.

I’d say it’s good. If we selected today, there’s one if not two riders that can’t confirm yet and they would be some of our best options. They still might not go but waiting a week or so to see if we can get locked in is worth it.
Sexton’s contract with Honda runs through October 15th (according to a few solid sources). But, things could always change and that could be a part of the delay.
Anderson can’t go, Kawasaki won’t support it.
This has to be the only sport in the world that the top athletes are hesitant to represent their country on the biggest stage. Sad to say the least.
It’s Chase lol
Well, the good news is Matthes blood pressure is safe for a little while longer...
Guess how we german fans feel with Kenny and the MXON.
Pay 20-30g out of pocket to go to a race that 99% of moto fans in the US will not pay to watch and then get filleted if you don't perform. Sponsors don't care about it. I can't imagine why they wouldn't want to go either.
We have to be the only fans in the world that have complete disregard for our top athletes personal lives and/or contractual agreements for our own personal satisfaction.
Look, I want the best of our best to go race and win for USA. But taking a step back and looking at it from a human standpoint, all the travel suuuuucks. The international travel is even worse. SMX in L.A. is the Saturday before MXDN. So they will be in L.A. until sometime at night and probably on Sunday get on a plane to fly to France.. Get there around late Monday/Tuesday then get a practice ride in some where between then and the weekend. And then race.. Then more international travel to finally come back.
Justin Cooper getting cold feet . . .
I wonder who that could be…. 🤦♂️
Kawasaki won’t support it, or Kawasaki won’t allow it? There’s a big difference. Because if it’s the former, I’d think funding could easily be raised. Even right here on Vital
You can probably answer that easily with a little more inside info...
But for me, when making that post, I see the team might want Anderson on a 450 and potentially, they have Kawasaki reconsidering their stance. If you know that's not the case, then fine...
I get it why some guys are reluctant to go.
Riders don't get paid one euro or dollar to race in MXON;
This race for no money is a risk of injury;
Riders have to take two weeks out of their off extremely short off season to go to a country that can be difficult to get quality food and good accommodations;
Riders have to pay out of their own pocket for travel and lodging expenses sometimes - business class to CDG or AMS and back ain't cheap, roughly 8 to 10 grand, and hotels in the summer in that part of France are rare and expensive.
And, history says there is a good chance it will rain.
Pit Row
It’s not the case.
Won’t allow it, if you’re asking specifically.
Huh?
about getting married?
yes mainly some sponsor conflict
Yeah perhaps I should have made clear I'm just joking, just in case the future Mrs. Cooper is reading lol
I would love to see Sexton, Barcia, and Deegan. If Deegan doesn’t want to go RJ will give his all if he gets the nod. France on home soil will be hard to beat and Australia will have an amazing team/chance. Will be fun to watch.
Just audible into a destination wedding. Problem solved. What’s next?
What is the deadline date?
Sexton and Deegan found a way to go. Sexton will make his debut with the #1 RedBull KTM machine and Deegan was told by WSX that they could not pay him to race due to the lack of funding, my 2 cents
Support the team.
I'm taking this to mean that Sexton is going to discreetly hop on a KTM after this weekend for an outdoor test and decide if he's good enough. My uninformed opinion.
