He sure does earn his keep! He’s like a helicopter mom with the brothers. He reminds me of a corner/cut man in boxing in between each round, wiping off their faces, opening their water bottles, cooling them down with a nice damp towel. I guess that’s in the job description, but it’s kinda cringe the way he hovers and caters to their every beck and call. He must be making big bucks.
I don't think its cringe... he's their coach. He wants to communicate with them and keep them in the game like any good coach would. I think he does that extra stuff because he's right there talking to them and its convenient rather than someone else trying to do it while he's talking to them.

Yea, you are a bit off on this one. Oshow is one cool cat, and he meets with them as they get off the track to debrief and talk about whatever they are working on. They trust him. There are others that are a bit more helicopter”ish”…. But Oshow isn’t one.

Johnny is worth every penny the brothers pay. The knowledge that guy has, and is able to pass on coherently and productively, is second to none.

Having a guy like him in your corner with a bottle of water and a towel after you have busted your ass would be nice over some man friend. They keep their circle small.
Johnny is full send in every aspect of his life, he’s a perfectionist. He’s a smart person who happens to be good on a motorcycle. He treats training like a religion, there is a purpose and a plan behind everything he says, he’s a guru.
He hovers over them because he understands what they need at that point. He had a hard time controlling Jett when he was 16

Maybe it’s for the time they have had the 1st water bottle, then try and calm them down, in order 1. Pointers on what they could improve on 2. Where they were really strong. No idea but think this would work, def so given their results 🤷♂️
Very well stated. I’d like to that that while I don’t know what the OP is referencing exactly, O’Mara is likely setting an example that he’s not above even the most menial of tasks. That’s training in character, which elevates his stature even more imo. O’Mara is a unique gift to the sport and has been since he was a Factory Honda rider.
Speaking of Johnny O, How much you think he's getting for sporting that Monster hat in the RED BULL camp of riders ?
