Has this OP been banned yet?
banned for what? lol starting a discussion on a forum? lmao
Thinking is hard but try it sometime
Cant argue with that. Between the Barcia, Tomac and now RC smoker videos, they are amazing to watch/listen to
You knew this thread would end up in a shit show and you'd be labeled a queen. Now it's a "discussion"?
There was never anything to discuss, 2 strokes are fucking rad no matter how you slice it.

2 stroke in the woods>>>>>>>>>>>4 stroke in the woods
125 on a track=250f on a track
250 2 stroke<<<<<250f on a track
Im a small bore guy. Average skill, just recently got a 125. And its awesome. Feel like a hero and have lots of fun, the whole reason I ride dirt bikes
Sarcasm, you either understand it, Or….
Does your mom know you talk like that? I bet she would wash out your mouth a with a bar of soap of she heard you.
2 strokes are amazing just for the fact they take pure skill to ride. Plus they sound awesome and smell great.
This one does not suck, lots of fun , very simple
125 2-strokes are one of, if not the most fun bikes out there. Hold it pinned but still not really going that fast.
Huh 125 jr has about the fastest lap times at LL. 125 class is 1 sec off the pro class. Millville with the big hills the 125 class usually has the fastest lap times. Even glen helen the 125 is close to the 450,s or faster. You just need bigger balls to ride a 125. When other bikes r off the gas & braking. Leave it on Really skilled 125 specialist. Keep it pulling threw the mid & just turn it down a bit but always keep it pulling in the meat. The flat ovr rev works in some spots. Just drag the brake a bit or a tiny slip of the clutch.
4 strokes arn't amazing, they're loud, they're heavy, they sound like a fart, you have to shift um and they don't have that sweet bean oil smell of a 2-stroke. Everyone should sell those big old 4-stroke dinosaurs and buy a Stark Varg, those are quiet, 80 horsepower, you don't have to shift, no clutch and they're easier to ride, less tiresome and they look cool. Of course I'm kidding, because if a rider was raised riding 4 stroke sofa's, he enjoys engine braking instead of actual brakes, it's easy to understand hopping on a 2-stroke as two much work, but for the rest of us that grew up riding a lightweight perfectly jetted 125/250/500 2-stroke that barks to the moon, they were the greatest motocross memories.
Don't know who this belongs to, but look at the Sheer! simple and uncomplicated badness of this piece of art. 2-strokes arn't amazing, could be the dumbest statement in human history.
This argument should be settled in a dance off. Cod pieces optional!!
1+ sec off the pro,s is in ax. Getting the flow down hill into a valley threw a sweeper into another hill. And keep it pulling without letting off. Feels like your flying threw the air. You can pull a 500 on a hill if your really good at it. A superior handling 04 cr125 is the key to become the Valley Master. Let the 450,s cut to the inside. Just blast the outside in the corner carve - arc it to the rt to set up for the left sweeper on top the the hill. Just watch a trucker haul azz in & out of the hills & curves in the ne. It’s all smooth flow & big time g forces. Caution hvy g forces is extremely addicting.
Pit Row
Glen helen kicked my ass on my cr with the way it was prepped the other day.. considering getting my first 4 stroke in almost 15 years. My mind changes all the time
Riding a 2 stroke is like being a vegan or running a marathon.... sure, there are some people who truly enjoy it for its own sake, but if you weren't able to put the sticker on your car or post on social media about it or talk about how super great it is, far less people would do it.
I love both for different reasons. I’m older now, but a 125 is still the most fun I’ve ever had on a dirt bike.
Lol that's pretty funny right there. The flip side of that coin is being one of the 2T vegans rolling off the track with a smile on your face knowing that some of the big thumper riders you just waxed on your oil burning little buzzsaw will be spending even more ridiculous amounts of money on an already overly priced motorcycle in trying to fix their bruised egos from getting slapped around by a smoker.
Had 2 strokes. Had 4 strokes. I’ll take both plz🫠
Something I’ve learned over the years is that “not enough power” makes racing better. ie: 125 cc racing is so good because everyone could use more power. You have to excel in the fundamentals of riding skill and efficient maintenance of energy. I can twist the throttle to the stops at almost every second of riding a 125 and to me that’s fun. It’s not scary. I rode a CRF450 once and it was OK, but I was expecting some amazing feeling. I think the linear power delivery of a 4 stroke while certainly is more efficient just loses some of the fun factor in riding the bike. I don’t race anymore and if I did, and winning was the only thing on my mind, I’m sure if get the most competitive mount I could, but as I ride for fun now, I simply have more fun on my RM250. It’s lite, flickable, snappy, has an awesome bark to it, just everything about it puts a smile on my face. I’m f I was to race a seniors 50+ race on it, I’d probably get extra enjoyment out of beating a few 450’s on my underpowered 250. I’ve won enough in my younger years, now I think I take greater pleasure in outperforming a superior adversary.
Go back to the early days of MX, mid/late 70's, fastest laps times always 125's
Not sure, is this comment pro 2 stoke or con 2 stroke?
I’ll be in Springfield later, and wondering if I need to bring a 2x4.
Just how big a boy are you?
edit: with apologies to Roy d Mercer
They are amazing if you can ride them. It took me many years to develop the skill required to actually be able to ride and enjoy a 125. Now being in my 15th year of motocross I wouldn't ride anything other than a 125.
If you don't have the skill they are frustrating more than fun.
No it isn't. That's a second gen X2, they used an SX-R 800 two stroke...
Hint: The meme is not about what engine is in the machine....
We don't love them irrationally, that is incorrect. It's actually very rational. Few argue that the two stroke today is a more effective racing machine. It's more like loving the P-51 Mustang over the F-16 Falcon. Just as there were pilots who were part of the transition from the piston-driven propeller era to the jet age. The Falcon is badass but...we rode 2 strokes in our youth. The sound of them...the smell of them...the feel of them are strongly bonded to decades of memories and legendary battles that we witnessed and were a part of. They were the best times of our lives and we will always love them, just as the youth of today love the memories being created in their lives. True lovers of the sport love both kinds for different reasons...and for the same reason: They are amazing machines created for the individual combat sport of motocross that has captured our souls with its raw beauty, outdoor essence, and timeless nature.
