So on a prototype frame with nothing to compare it to you can tell from a photograph if material has been removed vs. strictly cosmetic polishing? That's quite a trick.

Dunning-Kruger effect in all its glory.

I take it you are implying the frame has not been ground because I am stupid.

Looks like you can change the positions of the upper engine mount, is that going to be a feature on the '24 or is that normal on the factory bikes?

I believe one set of mounts is for the 250 engine other set for 450 engine. Pretty sure current frames have the same setup.

DJV804 wrote:

Nope. This is something the mxgp bikes have had for a while. Production has mounting locations in 1 spot with no options.

One picture shows the head stay bolted in the lower holes, while another shows a different head stay bolted in the upper holes. Lot's of testing going on here.

No denying Febvre looks comfortable and was super fast on it right away.   Very promising.

Saw these photos on FB today, from Japan nationals.  Bike looks more production than the mxgp team bikes.

Looks awesome! I definitely like the look of that one more than Febvre's bike.

Do you guys think this 2024 would be the new big change made for the 450 ?  or we do still have to wait for 25?

The bike in this post is the 2024…. Probably be August-September before we see it.

Bitchin!!! Even sooner than we thought. Let's all say a prayer and hope KHI didn't mess up this amazing frame and only made the bike better than it's been the last four years.

Aesthetics wise, I like it. However I can't unsee a 17-20 crf450r shroud and a 16-22 450sx-f rear number plate.

Hopefully the front fender is unchanged,

The president of Kawasaki is going on Gypsy Tales to explain how this bike will take over the universe.

True. I like the shroud however. Maybe there’ll be a way to put it in older models (not that anyone would be able to tell).

Has been proving to be a real hole-shot weapon in MXGP.

Someone mentioned that the SR version of the ‘24 might be called a 50th anniversary addition.

No. The 50th anniversary model is just $200 more and retro graphics and seat cover.  My dealer hasn’t heard whether or not there will be a SR model this year.

I was thinking Kawi should bring back the purple. I think it's going to look cool.

Anyone know when we get more detail?   It’s looking so good under Febvre.
