9/9/2024 9:53am 29 hours in with a Powerflow and full Ti FMF pipe, but run 93 octane pump gas. I've tried almost all the maps out there and have come full circle back to the stock map being my favorite. I think this is because the FMF system seemed to smooth the power out for me (or I've just become more acustomed...

HungoverMoto Added a reply to 2024 YZ450F FMF 4.1 Full System Help
4/22/2024 7:54am Stumbled upon this and curious where other full FMF system owners landed on map-wise. On my 2024 YZ450 with full FMF and Twin Air Powerflow, I've been trying several different maps, but have reverted back to stock map w level 1 TC as my go-to. The FMF seemed to tame the bike down a bit, where as with the stock...

4/4/2024 12:31pm The only must do you should consider is settings sag, tire pressure, and put the levers where you want them. Ride the bike in stock trim and put a few hours on it (in different conditions if possible) before you do anything to the bike. Fancy new bits look really cool and it's fun to talk about at the track, but most folks would be far better off just riding the bike and learning how to best leverage the vast amount of time and money Yamaha has put into developing the bike. It's an incredible machine that works very well...

3/28/2024 4:13pm First 10 minutes on the bike i questioned myself because of the seat. Once i got it out of my head and got up to speed, i didn't even notice it anymore. Feel like maybe it actually helped me shift weight easier in corners and seat bounce scenarios.

3/28/2024 12:32pm I think I'm the only person with this bike that actually likes the stock seat.... On another note, after 10 hours and the suspension breaking in, Im needing a little more hold up and stiffness in the forks and plan on adding 10 ml of fork oil as a start. Eventually may send it off for work, but want an...

2/28/2024 4:20am Those mods lean it out, so you just need to tinker with the fuel settings at throttle position. More people should play with that thing and understand it makes a pretty good difference(until a vortex or GET)

2/27/2024 11:49am If you liked the stock mapping, run the Hard Hitting map from Yamaha with the FMF. Cleans things up and it's a monster

2/27/2024 11:45am Apologies if this has been asked/answered before, but I just installed a full FMF system (spark arrester removed) to my '24 YZ450 and curious if anyone has any recommended Yamaha Power Tuner maps for that system. Only other variable i've installed is the Twin Air Powerflow. Currently running one of the Keefer Maps, but feel like it could use some...

10/30/2023 5:27am I'm just coming off a 2021 KX450. Loved that bike, but had the same complaint about the forks (too soft, no hold up, even after going up a spring rate). I recommend driving your suspension up to Factory Connection (they have a spot in Leesburg, FL) and have them revalve/spring fork and shock. It made a world of difference on...

10/20/2023 11:47am Out of all the bikes out there, I find it easiest to go from a Kawi to a Yamaha with the most ease. You shouldn’t have too much trouble making the switch, but the YZ does take some time to break in. Give it a little time to settle in before going ham on settings. I chased my tail for the first 15 to 20 hours and finally ended up pretty close to stock settings. That’s where I should have stayed for a bit. One thing I’d suggest doing right away though is setting sag at ~104mm and slide the...

10/20/2023 11:47am I had my 19kx450 since new and put 120 hours on it. Thought it was the best production bike ever. I bought my 23 yz450 in Feb. I have 30 hours on it. It is my favorite bike of all time and I've been riding for 30 years give or take. First Yamaha I have ever owned. The front end "lite" feel is the only thing I have chased. But the kawi had a similar lean angle feel.

10/20/2023 10:44am Picked up my 2024 YZ450 and motoing it tomorrow for the first time. I have been on a Kawi for 16 years (2007 KX450, 2012 KX450, 2021 KX450....2001 Yamis before Kawi), so curious how much of an adjustment this bike is going to be from my 2021 KX450 that I really gelled with.

9/26/2023 4:16am My last 3 450's were Kawis, but the weight gain here is disappointing to me. The KTMs were so light they could afford to gain the extra few lbs they did. Yami dropped 5 lbs with their new bike and now Kawi gains 5 lbs even w the new frame, smaller rear rotor, more centralized pipe, etc.? Not to mention...
