My bike is amazing, I feel blessed to get to ride something this amazing before I got too old. I am not sure why I am replying to your lame reply but the manual says 12 hours on the piston. The reason behind that has been discussed in detail in this thread. I came up with 40 hours because I don't ride as much in the cold winter and i will be close to 40 hours by then. I would feel comfortable going to 90 hours but a piston and cam chain are pretty cheap and I would like to take a look in there and winter time is a great time to do it. Back on topic man I am excited to ride this thing with ENZO suspension, so far it's been a great experience and my stuff will be back to me tomorrow. A 6 day turn around including shipping days! I'm 215 in street clothes, I had a 6.3 rear spring I had already upgraded too he said that was fine. The stock front spring was too soft, he changed that and also changed the inner fork springs. He added the spring tubes and re-valve of course. I am not sure what rate front spring rate he went too but maybe it will be in the paperwork or I will ask him. I hope to ride it this weekend.

Curious to see how u get along with the Enzo deal.......and what rate he used in front :-)

I will give my ride report and get the spring rate and post it for sure. He even changed the little springs in the cartridges. I am not sure what that is called.

Picked up my 2024 YZ450 and motoing it tomorrow for the first time.  I have been on a Kawi for 16 years (2007 KX450, 2012 KX450, 2021 KX450....2001 Yamis before Kawi), so curious how much of an adjustment this bike is going to be from my 2021 KX450 that I really gelled with.

Out of all the bikes out there, I find it easiest to go from a Kawi to a Yamaha with the most ease. You shouldn’t have too much trouble making the switch, but the YZ does take some time to break in. Give it a little time to settle in before going ham on settings. I chased my tail for the first 15 to 20 hours and finally ended up pretty close to stock settings. That’s where I should have stayed for a bit.

One thing I’d suggest doing right away though is setting sag at ~104mm and slide the forks down a bit. I think need up at ~3-4mm up.

I had my 19kx450 since new and put 120 hours on it. Thought it was the best production bike ever. I bought my 23 yz450 in Feb. I have 30 hours on it. It is my favorite bike of all time and I've been riding for 30 years give or take. First Yamaha I have ever owned. The front end "lite" feel is the only thing I have chased. But the kawi had a similar lean angle feel.

How are you guys feeling about the 2023-2024 YZ450F's air filter setup at this point? Can you get it to seal reliably without traces of dust/debris inside the airbox?

Is rhe Twin Air setup the end all/be all solution?

No problems with stock setup. Most of time I change filter at garage and use vacuum cleaner to take extra sand out before taking old filter out. Stock filters have better lip than Twinair that contacts bike. 23 bike filter doesnt get as dirty compared to older models.

Anyone using or tried RE 23.5mm offset clamps ??

If someone sells them in EU I would buy set(texes/shipping doubles price) but now i been using NuAxle offset axle to adjust offset. 23,5 great for sand but slow tight hardpack stock 22 works better for me.

I have a twinair powerflow kit, Athena get rx1 ecu and fcp engine mounts for sale for 23-24 yz450

Airfilter is no problem at this point, I use axle grease to seal the upper top section, no dirt or debris in the boot.

The Twin-Air cage seals 10 times better imo. When you carefully remove the filter (start with removing it on the backside), no sand will drop in the intake.

Well.....if you get caught by the police they arrest you.   If the bike is stolen then it's a felony for possessing stolen property over a certain value.

Cops told me they just get a slap on the wrist for receiving stolen property which is why they wont go get my bike. Im hoping the works edition appears at the same place, then im going to get them. I dont wanna blow it on just one.

Let the insurance company know, its their property now, maybe they can get the police to respond where the bikes are. For safety reasons, no need really for you to try to get them.

Reading/watching the shootouts and reviews, it seems pretty unanimous that most people prefer the 2023 YZ450 to the 2022.  Are there many here who actually prefer the 2022 or is the rider triangle, width, weight and turnability that much better.  I have a brand new 2022 that I could get from a dealer for $7200 out the door but the 2023 sounds like the better bike so part of me thinks I should wait until next year when there is the same, or better deals on the 2023.  I bought a 2023 KX450 a few months ago and like the bike except that I just can't get the forks to where I'm happy with them, even after sending them out twice and spending $1800.  I hear such great things about the kyb on the YZ and have loved kyb on previous bikes so trying to decide if I should cut my losses and go blue.  If it were a 2023 for that price it would be a no brainer but it almost sounds like the 23 Kx is a better bike than the 22 Yx (other than the suspension) so it may be more of a lateral move, which wouldn't make much sense to throw away the money I've put into the Kx.

The ‘23 KX is a great bike and if you are close to having the forks figured out, I’d keep it and see about getting a deal on the new YZ next year.

That said, I find the new gen YZ better in just about every aspect. There are trade offs for how it got better, but those trade offs are worth it to me. The only things that I still find better with the previous gen YZ are the transmission and clutch. 2nd and 3rd are both taller than I’d like and the new clutch design is a bit soft for my ham fist.

the 2023 is harsher thru the front end and not as stable as the 22. (this is fact) and generally more tricky to find a set up for the day.

The 22 works out of the box and requires gas :-)

But it feels 4' wide... That alone kept me away from blue until 23. Its so much more comfortable and plenty forgiving. Even at 220 i rode mine bone stock at Daytona and it was great, even a little low in the stroke.

Anyone have info about Hinson clutch spring for Yamaha 23-24 yet? Was coming out but havent seen any info and their e-mail support never replied. Would be nice to have harder spring option. I do have KTM spring but needs new outer ring because out diameter is smaller and raise is smaller.
