Never heard of Hopper till today. Watch a couple of his videos. Yeah, nah.
I agree it's not Hopper but comparing Hopper to PulpMX is pretty funny. Hopper is building a pretty solid YouTube channel, not denying that, but he's not bigger than Pulp in the grand scheme of reach/followers/viewership/listeners. Out of curiosity I grabbed a few of the social media numbers to compare but this doesn't even include all the other content on Pulp's website, podcasts under the PulpMX umbrella or even other ventures such as PulpMX fantasy or Steve's freelance work for other prominent companies.
Damn Hopper is doing pretty good to be an independent guy.
Both Cooksey and Hopper have super entertaining content. As for Everyone who talks shit about them (things in this thread have been repeated 1000 times by the same couple of guys), the only content I see from you people is on this forum, and consistently your content fucking sucks
Cooksey is way worse. Hopper has his own style that you can take or leave. But Cooksey is a world class bullshitter. He's said some pretty slanderous shit about people that IMO isn't cool unless you can back it up with some facts and evidence. Hopper doesn't do that... at least not as much.
I don't know him or any of this directly, but he rode for a long time (pro?) and is really frustrated with some things in the sport, some of it rightfully so, but some of it also is out there for sure. His takes are not always far off, but his delivery is very TMZ like which I don't care for. He worked for WPS and I think works for another distributor now. He has a big problem with the promoters (Feld and MX Sports) because they revoked his media pass (Hoppers too I think) because of a number of things. He also did a podcast for a bit with Coach Robb and the conspiracy stuff was not as bad, but still there. Not sure why they stopped, but saying unpopular things in this sport is hard to do and be accepted.
Or just the listeners that download and listen to the Pulp podcasts that don't watch it on YouTube....

I'd be shocked if he was making a living just off his podcast. Hopper either. 5M views TOTAL on all your vids doesn't get you a lot. They gotta be working regular jobs too. There's a living to be made from shows like these. Patreon, YT memberships, superchats, putting actual production into your show. As far as I've seen with these guys they set up a camera in a room in there house and that's it. Maybe they're doing it now I haven't watched in awhile

i think the guy is harmless. maybe there's history I don't know (which is possible) but he just seems like a guy bench racing about the topics of the day. He DOES say a lot of "I was talking with people that know him and they're saying....." which is way too TMZ, but so is most of modern media.
These guys need to unite... Hopper, Cooksey, Lanky Wanky dude... then have a race vs Swap, RacerX, Vital , Pulp etc...

Bashing someone who has a different and truthful angle on moto topics is pretty lame. Cooksey is keeping things real and some can't seem to handle that which is just hilarious. The abuse and slander & baseless fake claims will only embolden him and i hope his followers and popularity greatly prospers for it. The new raw breed of tubers like him & hopper don't follow any script and that is really what the public want unless you are someone else's little bitch.
