Between injuries and WSX commitments, our AMA Outdoor Motocross series has zero depth of talent at this point. The guys that the factories would normally call to replace injured riders are now committed to WSX. I understand it is a selfish fan’s perspective, but that is why I personally want it to go away.
They promote themselves as the premier SX series the world has to offer, when it clearly is not. I do like the extra racing but understand your place and promote yourself as such. That’s my biggest gripe. Also not a fan of the series overlapping the outdoor nationals making the field more depleted.
This sport does not need more fragmentation for the premier scene. There is pretty much 9 month of racing already for us fans, and we for sure don't need 3 parallel series during summer specially with all the national series running.
I want to see as tough competition as possible when I turn on a race. This serie leads to less.

That has to be the dumbest reason to dislike something I've heard in a while. Do you get mad at every donut shop that says "world's best donuts?" It's marketing bro. Lighten up.
Supercross and motocross are awesome if you live in America, for most of us on the other side of the world WSX is the best and only real opportunity to see some top guys ride in the flesh. I did make it to Washougal in 2015 which was an amazing experience, also went to 2x AusX opens here in New Zealand and my family got to see Ricky, Chad, Anderson, Wilson, Savatgy, Craig etc
For us outside of the US its not really about the racing, we just want to experience a Supercross in real life.

Well, with such an agressive marketing, you'd better deliver a premium product and honor your commitments. To me, that's far from being the case.
I'm not hoping it fails but would like to see it not conflict with the outdoor series. I would never pay money to see a series that has guys racing that are there because they can't get rides in the states. All for them making money and good for them but not when the outdoors are happening.
I am all for SX races but I figured the French wouldn't be the WSX round to cancel first, I figured they would have some of the best turn out. If it tanks in France I don't see how it will do good in other locations.
I think some think DC is going to give them lifetime VIP passes for tearing down the series…I believe the series can do a lot of things to improve the quality of product they put out, but don’t understand the ney sayers. Isn’t more opportunities for racers to make a living and showcase their skills a good thing? Most of the guys racing this series would make zero impact on the outdoor series
It splits the talent pool which is bad for competition and, in return, us fans.
America is the only country that has a major SX series, if anything, it will open up supercross to more riders and deepen the tallent pool over the term. The same people that want WSX to fail are the same ones that don't want to see riders like Jett, Hunter, Dylan and other foreign riders to succeed.

If they have quad wars and monkey knife fights at intermission, then maybe it'll last. This whole thing stinks of Insport BITD... as previously mentioned though, at least there are more paychex. Circus Cross is lame no matter the series.

Ok bro. Well Steve Matthes says "if you don't wear EKS Brand, you won't win" every week on his podcast. No one that's winning premier division titles wears that brand. Are you gonna go ahead and tell him he should stop saying that?
i dont have an opinion either way, but if they can't put out a superior product (think F1 vs Indy car), they have no business calling themselves World SX. the bar isn't THAT high. I mean, look at FELD's production and choice of announcers.

Also feels like more of arenacross to watch it.
You realise the 'us' fans you're speaking about in your post is 'US' fans..
I do like the idea of the series, however I feel if they tried to place it more into the 'off season' it'd be more successful..
First off I don't want it to fail I just want it to find their place....They came in hot making promises that they have not delivered on, they thought that they were going to attract the best US based riders because as we have heard over and over "nobody wants to race outdoors" (quoted from their latest shill Chad Reed). The problem is they were wrong, They should have worked with the other off season promoters or with the millions they got from their investors, bought out/partnered with the off season races like Paris, Germany Etc...created an awesome series that didn't conflict with any other series and draw some of the best SX riders in the world during their off season...They miss read those racers and their employers thinking everyone wanted to be like Justin Brayton....well that hasn't worked for them and the fact that they have become a place for privateers and semi retired racers to make a lot of money is great....But it wasn't their plan... the promises they couldn't deliver on and their competing with already established series has left a sour taste...I wish them well.
I don't want it to fail, it see some of its massive challenges,
with WSX , and the Varg, you don't have to choose a team, we can discuss the good and bad parts of it, in the end, this is a discussion forum,

Any series that keeps paychecks coming to the industry is fine by me.
Why, I am just old and bitter. I spend all day yelling at the TV or the clouds!!! 👍 I don’t like change!

Outdoors is better and indoors is lame that’s my only comment towards Sx in general.
Also during the Cardiff race last year I remembered hearing “OHH THE QUAD” or “UNCORK THE QUAD” more times in 2 hours then I have my whole life.

That’s not true at all, buddy.
Pit Row
Well I'm a fan of it personally because it allows me to watch SX in person, you US fans are lucky you have all rounds in your country.
The big topic over the years has been how do we make the sport grow, well in my eyes they're trying to grow the sport, whats the problem?

Because most in America doesn’t want the sport to grow unless it grows in America.

Great statement with a solid argument to back up your claims!
Someone please explain how the wsx has caused depleted fields.
I call bullshit, the pros that aren't there, don't want to be there. Barring injured riders.
If they did it from September to December I’d be fine. But since they are directly competing with my favorite series, I hate it.
I also hate the FIM

You’re the one shit talking people because of where they’re from.
Post a reply to: To the people that want WSX to fail or think it’s a negative, what are your reasons?
