So! every Saturday when I turn on the TV to watch motocross, I crack open a beer and I'm hoping to see Jett Lawrence go 1-1 and keep his perfect streak alive, because I'm hoping to see history and watch a rookie do it, but I know there are people who dislike him and hope for either a horrible start, mechanical or praying he crashes and then they'll jump in celebration for his misfortune, because they want RC and James Stewart to be the only riders who ever had a perfect season. What side are you on.
Poll
What time does Deegan race?
Don't care one way or another, just like to see some close racing. I guess we have the race for 2nd or the 250s for that.
5.
No one is perfect but Jett is about as close as we've seen in a long time.

Like him or not... Jett going for a perfect season makes the 450 class way more exciting then it should be with the depleted field. If you're rooting against him, then you're hoping for a bad start/mechanical/mistake, and if you're rooting for him, then you're hoping he's able to keep it together.
High point was a good example of this.
I know Jett officially still classes this year as "ahh shucks no pressure this is my learning year"....but we are a bit past that now aren't we?
As hard enough as this is to fathom, the championship (barring the usual caveats) is pretty much wrapped up after 4 freaking rounds.
Surely the perfect season would be a goal on the table for the team now?
I voted yes anyway...as Warren said, the perfect season goal is something to keep it interesting.
I don’t want to see a perfect season because the races are boring when someone checks out every race
Yes here. Sexton and Tomac were the only ones going to stop him regardless of the depleted field. So it’ll still hold weight in doing so. He fell multiple times last weekend on a shit track and still beat two extremely talented previous 450 mx champs. Idc what you say, that’s another level. I didn’t think we’d ever see a perfect season again. So it’s cool to witness. Now if he does this for the next two years I may become a “hater” lol
As long as there is some racing along the way I'm fine with it. A head to head with Kenny where they both stay up would be great.
I voted yes but don't really mind either way.. IF he does I'll agree it's an incredible achievement but obviously the field is about as deep as a half drained kiddie pool.. BUT still I can't see a 'normal' rookie doing what he's doing
I am a Jett fan and think Jett had a shot at the championship if everyone was lined up.
But let's be honest, what do you guys guess are the odds of a perfect season had Tomac, Sexton, Barcia, and Anderson been there?
Which is harder...
- A) Passing Marchbanks or
passing Barcia after the fall in moto 1 Saturday?
- A) Beating Webb every moto of an outdoor series or
beating Tomac every moto of an outdoor series?
For the most part I don't agree with the "weak field" argument but the point around Barcia is pretty legitimate. Though I like Chase, I think he's got a hair more talent than Eli but none of the mental fortitude. I think Jett is just as good with Chase, but has all the confidence Chase lacks.
And Anderson too. He is also very tough to pass just ask Tomac lol
It either takes Jett 3 laps to get around Barcia/Anderson or he ends up on the ground in the process.
Meanwhile Tomac is gone.
And nobody is talking about a a perfect season.
I pick A .

This thread needs more Bubba!
I don't think any1 thinks jett would have a perfect season with all the riders lined up.
But when has every rider ever been fit in mx? Never normally there is about 8-10 factory riders.
With the starts jett has been getting what's the likelihood of anderson, barcia, Craig or mookie beating jett? Not very high.
Really it's only tomac and sexton that would be challenging. And I doubt we ever see tomac race a mx race again.
Just because you win every race doesn't mean you check out. It would be cool to see a rookie have a perfect season but with some battling along the way. Or like last weekend, crashes and has to work his way back up to the front.
Ha!
Turns out B gets turned into an emoji for you like this
I was too lazy to fix it.
Cheering for the perfect season.
a year ago I said that a healthy Jett would own this series. That was with a full field, #3, #94, #51,#28, #27, #21, etc.
I didn't think he'd go unbeaten then, but I do now.
I'm rooting for Jett to win, unless it's a privateer like Masterpool or Drake that ends up getting a win (unlikely), so yes I'm rooting for Jett.
Close racing across a season is great, but I also like seeing records broken and history being made.
He's got a chance to do what no-one has ever done before.
Perfect season would be great.
I love watching exceptional talents/people breaking records, also watching other riders/athletes try match their level, it raises the level throughout the competition as there is a carrot to catch, it's just a shame that Sexton and Eli couldn't line up.
Against. Very boring to watch.
Half drained kiddie pool 😂😂😂
boring
at this point I'm in. Let's see it...
BUT. I would love nothing more than to see AC9 OR AP7 win a moto/overall
