I'm no ML but that's we hear in France, unfortunately. I'm actually surprised there's no press release yet.

So there’s going to be a near 3 month gap between round 1 and 2 of a 5 round series?

That's a bummer. Any reason why?

Yes, a few of teams involved mentioned it on Friday at High Point. It's been canceled and will supposedly be replaced by a round in Abu Dhabi later in the year. Unless there are further changes made to the schedule, there will be around 90 days between round one in England and the new round two in Singapore.

Rumor for cancellation is lack of interest/pre-sale tickets. I repeat, rumor.

Funny enough, I told Kenny after our interview on Friday that France was likely off and he hadn't been informed yet.

If the rumor of the reason for cancelation is true that is not a good sign...a few of their venues coming up are not known for drawing fans at previous motorsports events....

I would NOT want to be a part of those meetings with the investors. Yikes.

As a selfish American fan this is great news, we need our mid field back.

For WSX this is terrible, is France the second biggest SX market in the world?

Sounds like a well organized series.

You know how everyone has been wondering how this series was making any money??? Looks like the Saudis finally found out that they are indeed not making any money. Apologies in advance but... this whole WSX deal has been a clown show from the start. Sounds like that whole group has over promised and under delivered. Unfortunately, this is a common thread within the sport.

I wonder if the lack of interest has anything to do with the Tour de France? The latter stages of the TdF are in that region, including the penultimate stage on the same date as the proposed WSX round in Lyon.

Add in the des nations at Ernee , and Bercy ,  was going to be a tough stadium to fill

Don't you think they would have known that before setting the date?

They may not have been able to do it on another date.

Of course. So they either underestimated the popularity of the TdF or overestimated the interest in stadium motocross in July in France, or both, or neither. I don't know, just guessing.

I think this year will be a test , if they can fill villa park and get a decent crowd at Germany then they might be in with a shot ,  the Singapore and ahi daubi rounds are more likely to be govt funded

Nothing to do with the Tour de France. Really.

I hate to say it but going to the Vancouver one as a kid even with Carmichael in his prime there wasn’t a lot of people. They should be doing pre-sales already for Van
