Well, in the last five years there are exactly four people who have won mains apart from the big three - Windham (5), Millsaps (2), Hansen (2) and Villo (2).
The difference would be that Villo won 2 out 3 against James and Chad in his rookie year... But, of course there are those that would say "it didn't count because...."

JMO, but seems like out of the guys you mentioned, only one actually believes he can race with the top dogs.

We shall see, hope everyone stays healthy!

Kudos to him for the wins, Ando, but I'm not ready to equate Hanson winning the Xgames race with and SX main win.

Langston will be near the top. Mark it down.

I think your tiers are being viewed as speed but when it's stacked speed plays less and less a role...You should stack your categories based on consistency.

I hope 250(f)'s can switch coasts to big bikes for exposure this year and I hope Pourcel takes that as opportunity to sell himself to the big bike manufacturers/Teams as worthy of whatever ridiculous price he was asking for. I assume thats why he's still riding a 250f again this year. (Keeping true to the thread) - If he rides a 450 I say put him in whichever top tier your talking about-

Sorry, got me facts wrong. Josh Grant won A1 this year, Josh Hill won a main last year.

Not sure where I got Hansen confused into the mix...

Not in SX, mark that down. Hopefully he isn't on the sidelines before the Nat's start.

Funny seeing some predictions, especially Hansen.

Josh Grant wouldn't be a title contender if it was a 2 race series. He's too inconsistent!

RV2 has the potential. The problem is his rookie year came after 3 years of prep.

Take someone like Reed or JS they were winning against RC in their rookie year.

You could go one step farther and say Reed was winning in the US after one lites year and very little SX experience.

JS did stay down in the lites 3 years just like RV the difference is RV wasn't on pace with them whether it was skill or medical I don't know.

I personally think JS7 has more raw speed and talent than anyone.

I think Chad has more natural talent than RV too... but, I think RV makes up for (most of) that with drive.

I hate the comparison, but it seems like RV is more "RC-like" than anyone else at this time.. sorry, had to say it... flame on.

Reed didn't exactly come to the US with no SX experience. He won 2 x Australian SX titles on the 250 2stroke before his year in Europe prior to coming to the US. Also he graduated straight to the 250 when he turned pro and never raced a 125 as a pro in Australia (I think, maybe a few races but definitely not a full season).

Obviously RV has the potential, but to knock Reed and/or Stewart off the championship podium he will have to be something special. Not saying he can't, but it's too early to tell.

Hanson will be very lucky if he sees a podium at all. The only way would be if he holeshots, the 10 faster guys all pile up, and there's 45 second lap times. Oh yeah, it's SX, all the mains will be under 15min, what a joke.
