You would go nuts if you saw videos of myself back in the day. I knew certain dudes I was going to rough up no matter what when I went by. Deegan's Aggressive, we get it. Been plenty of dudes just like him through the years. Can he be a little dirty??....yeah. He'll learn to not make enemies out there one way or another. But that's for his competition to decide.

Janic  real nice kid. He grew alot in the last few months.  There was a vid last winter of him riding in Cal.  Next yr he will be top 3 & get some wins.  Incredible  speed & style.  Think Jett improved by 80%.  The Deeg,s know he’s the real deal & this yr he better get some wins. Because next yr there’s no chance. 

Yeah no different to pro US riders calling Herlings the FMOTP but Vital fans say otherwise, people like RC calling Jett special and will go on dominating the sport but vital fans say otherwise.

Pretty cool, in 2021 he was still on 85s and in two years later top 5 250 pro! I like that kid, more power to him !

I'm a fan of Haiden, but he really needs to grow out of that part of his game. He is so fast and works so hard, there is no place for the look backs, cross jumping and sideways riding on the track. I think he has grown out of this a little, but it still shows up every now and then. 

Deegan can be a little snot. Heck he tried to run his own teammate off the track.

Even so, this is what is needed right now, especially with the Lawrence’s winning everything.

Anyone else noticing all the double standards around here? Any of you able to think of any other riders in the last ~10 years that were hated by most for being known for cross jumping, brake checking, screwing with other riders trying to pass them?? I can think of a couple. 

Deegan will grow up and learn respect and there is no better way than to learn the hard way.

I bet you it crossed Hunter's mind to give him the business but Hunter's maturity and the fact that he was racing forward he chose not to fuck around. 

Deegan had a shit day at Thunder Valley...all his own doing. Rookie mistakes the whole day. He will learn from it.

Edit - the most annoying thing is all these juvenile threads that keep popping up about Deegan. People need to harden up.

It's only a double standard if it's the same guy. I think most people are fine with racing hard, we all love it. It's the games he played with Jordan Smith. It's the racing backwards and not forwards. If he was passing Hunter and stuffed him in the turn for the win, I think most would say fair game.

You can't take on the Deegan marketing machine....

After rewatching the races, I don't really see the issue. It is agressive, yes he doesn't want to get passed, yes some stuffs are text book from a rookie (remember prado's first race vs. herlings which was 10x worse), yes it is not perfect, for sure there is some room for improvement. But even the cross jumping was really not bad, he knew where both were, he was ahead and it was to get all the speed he could to stay ahead (plus it doesn't hurt anyway to get your team mate 2 more seconds to stay in the lead). 

What I find it hilarious is grown men crying about it. Purely in the moment and not thinking further. Especially because he is the best rookie in some time ... (while most were saying about 1 year ago he would not be top 20...) There is a ton of jealousy or frustration while the kid is still just a kid and he may well represent the US in september... Any country would be happy to have this rookie. Let us just appreciate what we see instead of complaining for what we could not do as Brian 20 years ago. Flame on, IDGAF.
