Unless it's private highly unlikely
Ask a commie, there's plenty over there.
I would also love to hear and see if you manage to get some riding done over there

Isn’t there like no private property in a communist state?
Nobody owns it best you can do is lease it I believe far as I know there's no legal dirt bike stuff there
So I guess if nobody owns it, then nobody can say “you can’t ride here”
Ride there until the oppressive government shoots your ass...

This place is in Hong Kong & is definitely worth a visit if your nearby or connecting through. I lived in Hong Kong about 15 years ago & rode there.
i was supposed to ride a round of the chinese national mx series but I couldn’t get any private medical insurance that would cover me & in the end i pulled out because iv visited nearly every hospital in ireland & the thought of a Chinese hospital was to much.
long story short, there are some good tracks in China. Give Angus a shout at the HK mx club & he can maybe point you in the right direction. His son was a decent rider & rode all over China doing there championships.
This…. Rode at Angus’ place in Hong Kong quite a few times and it was super fun. It was amazing with the big city in the background and yet out in a rural area one stop from the China border. He is well connected in the China MX scene. He showed me a few places in Shenzhen but not North where you are (but I never asked).
So awesome! I for one would love to ride MX in China.
The world is changing right before I eyes. The world is only as oppressive as we choose to allow it and we truly have the innate power as a humanity that is united to do this. All it takes is humanity to stand together
C'mon Bobski...you'd be a commie too....if they held a gun to you/your family's head. "A man convinced against his will remains of the same opinion still".
Wouldn't it be cool if moto exploded in China like it did in the '70's USA. Next thing you know they'll be stuffing V-8's in cars, smokin' dope, listening to metal...turning into slackers. Nope...big ass tanks will smash that shit pronto.
Maybe @askping if any of his Tornado contacts know the good spots
Is about 7 years old but it’s in Beijing https://pnwmoto.com/t/beijing-international-motocross.1308/
Here’s one about Shanghai https://www.smartshanghai.com/venue/17678/shanghai_international_motocr…
Surron and Talaria could sponsor it 👍
Dudes be like “I have a conquest planned through the literal depths of hell to retrieve a holy transcript from the beginning of time, anyone know of any riding spots??”
Thanks

My time to shine. I used to work in China and have been to almost every province for both work and travel.
There is no track or motocross scene to speak of, the only bike culture I ever encountered were expats who would do ADV rides. Owning a bike in Shanghai or Beijing is expensive af, if you want to properly register it.
most expat workers in China just go to the karaoke bars and mingle with the local birds and just live an otherwise degenerate lifestyle heavy on the pijius.
the closest I got to the Moto scene was meeting a dude who worked at the KTM dealer in hangzhou. A German guy named Kevin. Even he admitted there was no Moto scene really there. For you, on a work trip it will be practically inaccessible. I would say just have fun, hit the bars if you are single. If not, go travel around and see the sights. Shanghai has the bund, Tianzifang and you gotta get some xiaolongbao dumplings.
Hong Kong may as well be a completely different universe than the places you will be but the contact there may be able to point you in the right direction. If you ride a bike on the street there, be careful. Injuries are often handled by negotiating and paying money on the spot. You will stand out, and could be a target for extortion essentially were you to be in an accident- even in Shanghai, as there has been an exodus of foreigners from the country. So be careful on the road.
non moto sorry...

I've been a few times, but always did the touristy stuff. Now I want to check out hobby stuff. I probably wouldn't ride just spectate and take pics. Where did you live in China?
This is pretty cool.. I wish I knew about this before when I used to visit Hong Kong on a regular basis. Dubai has an MX track in the city itself.. you dont have to leave the city and they have a fleet of KTMs to rent. Ironically, there are few places to ride anywhere close to Tokyo, even though Japan has helped grow the sport so much in the past. The closest tracks to Tokyo are the Narita course in Chiba near the airport and the Offroad Village and MX Village tracks in Saitama prefecture. These are rather far from the center of Tokyo and the tracks aren't so good. Offroad village is the only place where you can rent a bike, but most of them are junk. The closest place I know of to rent a decent MX bike is the Shidoki track in Fukushima prefecture, about a 3.5 hour drive out of Tokyo. This is very close to the nuclear powerplant where there was a meltdown of the nuclear reactors due to the tsunami, so I stopped riding there.
Oppressive government telling you what you can and can’t do, and then shooting you…..where have I seen that happen before?🙄
I get that most of this stuff is said as kind of a joke, but dude come on, yes you're run by a geriatric moron and for sure I agree you've gotta stay vigilante and protect yourselves right now, but if you think you can compare your lot to that Chinese shit show you have no idea how good you have it in the US.
*Edit. Sorry not being political in moto, just fuck China
Lmao saying something political and then saying you're not being political doesn't make it not political
Pick up some pork fried rice and ribs on way to track.
Haha yeah you're right, I should have said sorry for beating a dead horse and I'm not trying to make a big 'thing' about it, that would have been more accurate 👍
GZ and SH. Miss getting to travel there for work. 30 dish meals on lazy Susan, endless qingdaos and just overall great hospitality, especially in the more out of the way cities.
I am going to assume you have never been on a 2 way rifle range. Try “standing up” to that sometime and you will understand how silly that statement really is.
Ha!
