You can’t blame people for being ignorant of the consequences of traumatic brain injury, it’s barely been mentioned for the last 15-20 years, unless you were reading the news or watching tv.
And likely missing half the A1 starters at Round 2 if past trends continue.

A traumatic brain injury and a "concussion" are two entirely different things.
The concussion thing is getting a bit exaggerated these days. Either Chase has a seriously debilitating concussion, or mono. The coincidence of having both at the same time is a bit suspect. I think they're leaning on "concussion" because it is perceived as being more serious and a better excuse to sit out a race.

Never been sicker then when I had mono. Got it my freshman year of college and I was absolutely floored for a solid two weeks.
Concussions are typically also called TBI you might want to look it up definitely not something to mess with they still know very little about the head!
People go to the doctor for some sort of trauma and find out about some other condition that hasn’t been presenting symptoms or they have just been ignoring all the time. Doesn’t have to be some grand conspiracy.

The people making the comments about being soft for sitting with a concussion are incapable of understanding because for them repeated blows to the head would be inconsequential, so they can't relate.
Im sure he has a concussion but the mono diagnosis seems suspect. So what are the chances that sexton is happy with the sx title and honda is ok with just letting jett fly the flag in 450s? Sexton is in the smx races and the odds on favorite for the smx title.

After hearing Jett say Chase rung his bell and judging how slow Chase was to get up after his Pala crash, I almost made a post about how head injuries might determine the 2023 outdoor championship.
Giving head injuries impact ability to focus. My hypothesis was the number of head hits Chase seems to be racking up since joining the 450 class may contribute to Chase making costly errors.
Never would I have guess he would be out like this so soon. During a practice crash. Damn.

Here is to hoping Chase just had a false positive and doesn’t have mono/EBV. Also, not to be forgotten in all of this is the concussion and taking the proper time off.
Aside from being extremely fortunate with Eli’s freak injury,
its always something with sexton. He’s shown a lot of speed the last year and a half but honestly he’s kinda shown that he just not the guy

I just remember when champion caliber riders wouldn’t have said shit if they had an injury during the week. They were in it to win it. Chase hits the ground so much and then just rides back to the truck.
was it last year Tomac tweaked his knee in Atlanta and finished the year out for the championship before admitting it? That is what I’m talking about.
